Will probably go Sunday and if traffic is insane, I’ll take the orange line to Sullivan and walk.
You mean you'll be walking over the Malden bridge? That seems like it'll be a longish but ok walk (at least during the nice half of the year), but I can't say it's appealing to imagine doing it late at night, or during inclement weather, especially Nov-March.
Is the bridge next to the Assembly T station (aka the closed Mystic View bridge) the one the-powers-that-be are talking about eventually making available to pedestrians, or do they plan to build an entirely new one? That would be a far nicer and easier walk than from the SullySqT and maybe only needs some good barrier fencing along its length. (but who knows - maybe it's ready to fall into the river).
Anyone been there (very) recently? I know it's been closed to non-official vehicle traffic for ages, but in the past, the gates have often been open, so people could walk right across. When I go (Sunday possibly), I might get off at Wellington, take Encore's shuttlebus to the riverwalk dropoff next to costco, and then take 5 minutes to walk down Mystic View Rd from the Encore side to see what the deal is.
