The water taxis will be part of the opening day transportation options. They will depart from Pier 4 in the Seaport area, stop at Long Wharf and then on to Encore. Schedule is to run from 7:00am to midnight 7 days a week running every 20 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes off peak. They will not be free, fare is $7. They have to use low profile boats to get under the Rt 99 bridge, apparently they were going to get 4 boats but only 3 are ready so they are leasing another boat from Bay State Cruises until the 4th boat is delivered. These boats can carry up to 35 passengers.

There will also be three shuttle bus routes, one from Wellington, one from Malden, and an Everett shuttle. Also Coaches from Millbury, Rockland, and Londonderry NH.

Other interesting bits, construction is substantially complete. The hotel is complete with the exception of "Curtain Wall" which is listed at 99%. Furniture is complete up to level 27, which I believe is the top floor. Incomplete areas were site work and the parking garage. The parking garage is scheduled to be complete on June 1st, the Porte Cochere on June 3, and the remaining site work on June 10th.

Gaming equipment installation: 3,109 of 3,130 slot machines installed, all 143 non poker table games installed, and 16 of 88 poker tables installed (casino was turned over on 4/29). Retail food and beverage areas were turned over 12/1/18.

Also included in the packet were the first floor plans that I have seen. There are 8 beverage serving stations within the gaming space, one of which is in the poker room. As has been previously mentioned the poker room is on the mezzanine above the main gaming floor. Across from the poker room is the high limit gaming area which also has it's own beverage serving room.

There is a lot more but things are coming together, less than 7 weeks!
That's a lot of info, thanks for the update!

Has anyone received any promotional mailers for this place? I signed up on their website for updates and basically have received nothing in several months.

And you won’t without ever any play

If they are running shuttles from Wellington, Malden and Everett I imagine parking is going to be upwards of $45 a day. There is going to be some irony now that I was so excited to have a casino withing a 20 minute drive my house and now it might be unaffordable to park. I was loving the idea as 2-3 hour sessions were going to be real fun and manageable.

I don't mind the idea of heading over to a shuttle if its done well. I imagine there will be quite the crowds on those buses. Bring back memories of 2 hour bus rides to AC from NYC. There is nothing like life advice from a 88 year old slot grandma at 5 am after a brutal session.

So playing some cash sessions or tourneys in the Vegas Wynn during this summer won't help with any comps for Boston Encore?

I played about 8 hours in their poker room and a bit of blackjack and haven't seen anything other than Vegas offers.

Same, along with a little video poker back in March. I've only seen Vegas offers. Also, the slots app is linked on the Boston Encore page now, but I only see Vegas offers on there, too.

Has anyone even received Encore promotional offers yet? I know a host there who doesn't yet have the ability to offer rooms to her clients as of last Friday so there likely hasn't even been anything put out there. On the other hand, promo offers are for the purpose of drawing patrons to your venue. I wouldn't expect much "free" stuff out of the gate and to be based on your play afterward.

I was replying to someone mentioning Vegas encore play getting Boston offers. So far I've only received Vegas offers.

Yes, I understand this. I was pointing out that I don't believe ANY Boston offers have been released as of last Friday since the hosts aren't even able to produce offers to their clientele.

A lot of casinos that have opened up in other places offered all sorts of promos. Things like free bets, loss rebates, status match. And room offers and nicer promos to people they actually have on file as customers from other locations.

They gotta be doing something to promote this place. Eventually some people will start getting offers.

No. They really don't have to do something to promote this place. If you ever stepped foot in a Wynn property, it speaks for itself.

I agree with Big Whoop. I really don't think they need to do much of anything but roll up the Brinks Trucks.

The hotel is tiny at 671 rooms. I just looked at a Tuesday night in the middle of September and the cheapest room started at $963. They aren't giving away any rooms to mere mortals.

There are 5 million people in Greater Boston. Throw in Providence, Worcester, and Manchester NH - all within 50 miles - and we are talking about 8 million people. Over the last few years millions of people have been driving up and down 93 and watching the hotel go up. Once June hits, the free media is going to be off the charts. Everyone will know it's opening. I haven't been to Wynn Vegas in about 12 years. I barely remember my trip but I don't remember them giving anything away then and I don't expect them to now.

Any word on the caps for nl games? I heard a rumor that 2/5 would be $800 cap, and 5/10 $1,500 cap because they want 10/25 to run consistently.

Would be kind of weird since Wynn Vegas is famous for how deep their games are. Anyone else heard anything?

I posted months ago the info I had heard directly from a Chasers dealer who was hired in management role beneath the Poker Room Mgr who was coming in from Macau. Take it for what it’s worth but to recap:

* PRM isn’t fond of large guarantee tournament series.
* He expects table maxes to be slightly larger than Foxwoods and Mohegan but not by a lot. He guessed 1/3 to be 500, 2/5 to be 700-800, and 5/10 to be 1500.

* The poker room management team began work last week and I hadn’t yet heard anything official or leaked in regards to these numbers. It’s very possible your source could have leaked this since it is consistent with what I had heard but who knows.

* Wynn LV is a different market than New England with different room managers. I don’t know if one room has any bearing on the other. Mohegan Sun, for example, operates multiple casinos and their rooms have different max buy-ins.

No large guarantee tournament series?! That would be a huge disappointment and with such a large room, quite surprising.

I’m only passing the message along that I heard and he never said that they won’t....only that the PRM wasn’t a fan of them. That doesn’t mean he won’t do it in this market.

Hopefully they do, I’ll be at the cash tables a lot during the first few months of the open and see if I can find out more. Tournaments are great for the entire poker ecosystem and a lot of new players I know are hesitant to sit down at a cash table but willing to plunk down a few hundred for a MTT knowing their losses are capped.

I agree and they are great for cash games too (hence your ecosystem comment). This is why some cash players chase tournament series. I see it at Foxwoods, Borgata, Vegas, etc.

I'm not very familiar with the areas (peeking on Google Maps). Do you think they'll run shuttles close to Logan Airport?

None of the listed locations are particularly close to the Airport. Your options would be a multi-hop public transit ride to Wellington for the shuttle, or a (guessing a bit here) ~$15 Uber.
