The majority opinion in this thread is that it is indeed a dead hand. You're responsible for protecting your hand, and you said yourself, "I'm not paying attention to the dealer as she deals".

The difference between this situation and the one you posted is the time elapsed.
In the linked thread, the SB didn't notice the 5th card until it got to be his turn.
In this one, a player in "EP" had raised. It's not clear whether this player was UTG (misdeal) or not (dead hand). But furthermore, the OP here says he alerted the dealer almost as soon as it happened, as was backed up by the table.
There is also the additional potential complication of some of the early action happening before the deal completed. I'm not saying it happened here, but it might have. Obviously the SB cannot alert the dealer to having received a 3rd card until he gets it, so any action that happens before the third card is received has to be discounted somehow too, even if it would otherwise be (significant) action.
All of which is to say, unless the raise was UTG, the technical resolution is a dead hand, but depending on the circumstances, the dealer's certainty about which card was third, whether the hero looked at his cards already, etc., I will give significant latitude for alternate resolutions (mainly: return one of the 3 cards to the stub to be the burn).
