20-40 mix has been running yesterday and today. Wonder if it is HOS or HOE or anything else.

Any new opinions on the various restaurants on the property since all the discussion during the first 2 weeks?

I'd like to get something other than the poker room menu when I play tomorrow night. Every restaurant is overpriced but how's the food at Waterfront?

Stud, Omaha 8 or better and Hold Em.

One guy was only playing the stud game and I was amazed that he was in effect paying $24 time for one half hour of stud.

That does sound crazy.

I'd rather play stud 8. And ideally 10/20 or 5/10 but if this mix is going next time I'm there I'll give it a shot.

Do the games rotate every 30 minutes? Or every orbit?

Every orbit, which caused a multitude of problems/delays. We went from 4 handed to 7 handed, back down then up. One player designated himself the games captain but he always managed to get in a few more Omaha hands than I thought were merited (he loves Omaha). Finally someone got some numbered plaques from the house, although they were numbered 9-16, and he kept track that way.

Waterfront isn’t bad. I’ve had the sliders. They were good but I’d rather have a full sized burger. I think the meat is almost always juicier in a full burger. I ordered the lobster poutine fries. I wanted to LOVE this so much. It looks heavenly. The “gravy” is a gruyere cheese sauce. Idk if mine was an exception but it was so salty, it was inedible(I love salt). I also had the Smoked BlueFish Rouille. Tasted like a $20 scoop of tuna fish

The ahi tuna toast at Garden Cafe was yummy. The Vongole isn’t bad. Maybe a 7 on a 1-10. I’ve also had the Sea Bass. Was good. Needed a kick of something.

Hmmm... I wonder how many Boston work commuters will take advantage of that.

Not sure how you can commute from Encore in Everett to work in Boston.

Free shuttle to Wellington rather than park there saves $95/month. I'm sure there are other scenarios where free parking saves more money but that's just 1 off the top of my head.

I heard the poker room menu is "expanding" soon.

You might be right, but It seems to me to be time consuming & a bit of a hassle to park in the garage, walk to the shuttle, ride to Wellington and then wait for a train on the Orange Line.

Confirmed about the menu. I had to order food 2x on Fri and 2x on Sat because it was just too time consuming to go anywhere else and all 4 food runners said they're just waiting for the new menus to arrive from the printers.

I see 2/2 PLO8 going right now. I wish I could go and play now but tied up.

Uber both ways would be much cheaper than parking in Boston.

I like Sinatra. As an Italian it always hurts to pay that kind of money for freaking veal Parm and linguini and clams but the Vegas’s outlet is outstanding and I found the one at EBH pretty much comparable. Some people said the service is slow (I had no issues) and people saying it’s expensive - yeah it is. Food is very good and on par with the one in Vegas. If you are really a down home Italian food snob though - you are better off hitting joints in eastie or whatever that are cheaper and live up to the hype. I’d recommend Red 8 as a nice in between option with great food.

Buffet as I stated before to me was a little underwhelming- one in Vegas is so much more expansive and in my view better but this one still provides lots of good options and choices and high quality food for the price. Desserts were amazing for sure - will say that.

Does anyone know if they have 3 to 2 BJ or is it all 6 to 5?

I’m not much of a pit guy but once in awhile I like to have a session.

Thanks! I do love good Italian food but the prices here seem even more overpriced than some of the other options so it's low on my list.

They have both. Seems like there's more $25 min 3-2 tables than when they opened, but that's just a guess based on walking by on my way to the poker room.

I also saw $15 min craps i think on a Saturday, 5-6pm ish. Not sure if they have $15 min ever on BJ. Would be nice if they did.

Haven't been in since they swapped the tournament area for table games, but a dealer mentioned that space is intended to be lower limit Blackjack. Not sure if 3:2 or 6:5.

2/2 PLO8 went last night. It was fun for the 2 hours that it lasted. There were 9 people checked in on the list for it for more than an hour - had to ask the floor multiple times if they were going to open it. It finally opened at 9pm. Multiple people that sat for it thought it was a regular PLO game, and ended up leaving after they learned it was O8. Then gradually, people kept moving to other games, and the game broke at 11pm.

Hope this game survives at Encore. It seems like a lot of folks play it at Boston Billiard Club, but the interest at Encore just isn't there.
