Probably because as a commuter you could just park, play poker for an hour then leave your car all day and park for free.

While having my parking ticket “validated” @ the sign up desk this PM, I was
asked if I was leaving the property immediately and was informed that after tomorrow (Sunday) 3 hours of poker play will be required for free parking. The individual stated that you could use points to pay for parking. I didn’t bother to ask how one does that (afraid of receiving more misinformation).

Validating your parking ticket at the desk is the same as paying at at a kiosk, Giving 30 minutes to leave after paying for parking is standard at any garage.

Is someone saying you have to leave immediately after leaving the table? Go to dinner, play some slots or table games, pleasure yourself in the rest room... if you’ve played 3 hours of poker, do whatever you want and get your ticket validated when you’re ready to leave.

The first week, the ladies bathroom had this problem. Something must’ve been adjusted because now it stays on just fine

They’re checking for 3 hours of play before validating your parking ticket now. I just left from there and they take your red card and swipe it to confirm your 3 hours.

I can’t wait for the day I lose 3 buyins in 90 minutes, and get to contemplate whether I am gonna go to the atm or pay for unvalidated parking

Played 24 hands in my first 80 minutes at a 1/3 table Sunday morning. Combo of slow players taking 20-30 seconds for each decision, a couple of misdeals pre, and a 3 way all in with the dealer taking a couple of tries to figure out what the main/side pots are

Hahaha no, I've just run like god my first 25 hours of play here, my tracker app says $184/hr. I am 100% positive this won't last and I'm due for a run of bad variance real soon!

Can confirm the new parking situation. I played for an hour last night after we spent the day in Boston with our car in their garage; When I went to get validated she asked me if I had played 3 hours I said "I thought it was one hour"? And she indicated it changed on Wednesday, which I thought was weird because when I played Thursday the person there just scanned by ticket immediately without looking up anything.

This time, after I said that, she asked for my card and ran it, then said something like "I'll let you this time because you've played a lot recently, but in the future it is now a 3 hour minimum" and I told her no problem and thanked for for letting me slide this time.

It turned out it didn't even matter, however, because when we exited the garage, there was a massive clog of cars and some employee came over and just waved us into this little side passage where a third gate was, but it was permanently open, so we just went right out without scanning the parking ticket. Oh well!

On their website, Encore touts their vegan/vegetarian dining options. I saw one poster here show a pic of his hummus plate and his avocado toast. Anyone have any additional experience with their vegan offerings?

Vegan options are pretty ****. I was so excited when I saw what you did on the site but I haven't found any real solid options and given my options outside the casino I don't bother eating much there. I was looking mostly the first week but it seems like most of the nicer restaurants don't have any consideration given. I can't speak on the buffet.

I went to Bru and had them make a smoothie with almond milk which was a decent holdover. Ive been telling them dairy allergy. I was really hoping for more. Even the Veggie sandwhich on the poker has Quail Egg which makes zero sense to me but oh well. I also found lots of staff don't know the difference between vegan and vegetation so be careful there as well.

I think I read you are traveling so if you want some decent vegan options close by shoot me a PM but as far as in the casino if aynone has any solid options let me know. Sure you can get a salad or some hummas or a nice pricey fruit bowl but there is no real vegan options.

Anyone eat at Red8 yet? I love chinese food and was wondering if its very good, good, or just decent? (or bad but I doubt that)

I saw their menu and they seem to have a decent amount of vegan options, i.e. greens, braised vegetables, tofu. But, in my experience, Asian restaurants use fish sauce in darn near every one of their sauces.

Played Saturday for less than 3 hours with no problem on validation & exiting. Desk said that 3 hr requirement begins on Monday. As always, your results may vary.

My two experiences have been, good/very good food with extremely slow kitchen service the first time and very good with much quicker turn times the second time. Like many things at this casino during the first several months the “hit or miss” variance can be high. I’d imagine things here only improve as they did on my second visit.

For you to be broke you need to play.
If you play at least 15 min at a 100 avg in a table game you will get planets of points or comps dollars to pay $1 comp for parking.
Unless all your money is $100 and you put it in one roll or roulette I don’t see how you wouldn’t.
The valet office checked my comps dollars and I’m a low stake Craps player and poker player and I had over $50 comps. That’s 50 tiles I can park in valet plus all the points or comps I’ll get each time I’ll come means I’ll never run out. Unless they start charging more of course.
One hour of play in poker gives you 1 comp that you don’t have to use at the moment so is going to accumulate.
And credit cards...

Very good. So far my favorite, service was excellence if not too caring.
What I mean by that is that cake around way too much lol.
I was having people refill my water for what felt like every 2 minutes haha.
I felt like a king and finally I told them not to worry about it. I’ll let them know when I need water.
They were super nice, this was at the beginning when they first open. So I’m sure they were just trying their best to be 5 star and going way above and beyond.
They also asked me many times if everything ok and if I need anything.
Not sure if that’s a part of the job, but they pick 1-2 things in the menu and they tell you why they like it and speak about it very proudly.
I ended up getting the suggestion which was like a fried pork slices with maple....
My god this should be illegal. I dreamt of that damn plate for many days.
The gentleman told me this was a plate from his village. O think I took pics will have to search my other phone.

Apologies if this has been addressed earlier in the thread, but are people accumulating comp dollars from poker yet? If so, how do I view how many I have?

When I login to my account on the website I see $0 in Free Credit, which it says it is used for only used for slots and a point balance which can be used to get Free Credit. Are the comp dollars a separate thing? I have logged a number of hours at the poker tables already.

Yes it's been discussed above. Yes comp dollars are separate from points and free credit. Yes you're accumulating comp dollars, but the Poker Atlas system the poker room uses to track our time isn't synced with the Red Card system yet.

You can ask a floor to check for you.

My optimism on lower mid-stakes Limit games has decreased after yesterday.

My wife wanted to go because she had some free slot play., so off we went. On the way in I signed up for 8/16 LHE. 4/8 O8 half kill. When I got there at about 4 PM, I clicked *Arrived* on the app and saw my name come up on the board.

Both games were just interest lists, but had 10 names on the wait list, so I signed up for 3/6 LHE in case the wait was a while.

Half hour later, the open the new 4/8 game, but only 3 show up after 15 minutes. I go check the board and decide to put my name on the 1/3 list and go to the cage for 300 red.

5 minutes later I get called to 3/6, go see the floor and there is no empty seat at 3/6 and he puts me at the top of the list. 10 minutes go by and they call the 8/16,which ends up going, so I ignore the call to 1/3 about 20 minutes later.

Half hour later, the 8/16 broke when we went down to 3 players.

Oh well.
