Concerning hotel reservations:
Check every day or so for the latest rates as they fluctuate rapidly and greatly.

I found not only the same Premier Harbor view room but also breakfast for two included, which is $100.00 per day at the Garden Cafe, for over $1,300.00 less, $2,100.00 less if you count the $100.00 per day food comp as we're staying 8 nights.

I rebooked and they were lovely to deal with.

Can't wait to get there!

Has there been any improvement in AT&T cell service? The first few times I went I could not text or make phone calls at all while in the casino.

I feel like it’s slightly better. I haven’t tried making a phone call but apps were loading better. I have found that the outer tables, near the ledges work better for me

My run in the Main Event has come to an end. Can't wait to go home and play with you guys.

Just had a chance to read through all the posts since I was active and I notice that drink and cell service is still horrific and IT hasn't fixed a single thing while the dealers haven't improved much.

Parking seems to be much better but food options are still not that great. It would be nice if the food people in the poker room could also pick up take out from the very nice restaurants in the hotel like the Aria Poker Room.

I see the 4-8 O8 is running. Would it go up to 6-12 or 8-16?

Better luck next time Pierre. The 4/8 O8 is healthy right now. We discussed making it a kill game. Only person said no I’m sure the easy thing is to make it 4/8 with full kill. That’s a start at least and I’ll be down for that

Oh the food servers delivering from restaurants would be huge but I doubt they will since they have a dedicated kitchen just for the poker room
Drink service...what to say...yesterday was great. By far the best day ever for them but then I think back to last Saturday and it was horrific.
I think the dealers have improved. There were 2-3 yesterday who were struggling but I didn’t see any shaking hands like before.
One thing that I noticed yesterday that I’ve never noticed before is that it was chilly in there. Numerous people commented and I’m always on the warm side but I was shivering a couple of times

Quick reminder:

Buy-ins from the dealer can not be made with anything less than $20 bills. $1/$5/$10 are not accepted (or supposed to be accepted) by the dealers for rebuys.

And fwiw, I've seen a number of chip runners for players at both 1/3 & 2/5.

BTW, the games I've been playing in have been amazing. Be it at noon on a weekday or weekend night. So amazing to have this in our backyard!

Don't you just love the players that come with their stack of $20 that make the dealer lay down his deck, spread each 20 into stacks of five, several hundred dollars at a time, then call floor to verify their count and get permission to sell chips to the player? Usually this will cause 1 or 2 players to leave their seats until the dealer banking services are concluded. Slows down the game tremendously and I guarantee a player will get scolded if they make a habit of doing this in any timed game. How difficult is it to get chips from the cage? It slows the game and that is undeniable.

Good luck at the tables.

If the cage is still having the long line problems then I can see a player opting to buy at the table, even if he/she knows better.

Friday morning, 9:40 EST, and there's a 60/120 FLH game running per Poker Atlas. Does anyone know how frequent this, or any of the other higher FLH games have been running?

Would also love to know what the session fee is for the 60/120 game if anyone happens to know. Thank you.

I’ve only seen one instance of a dealer allowing the first buyin to be at the table. She’s worked at a couple other local casinos so she likely got the bad habit from there.
The desk is right next to the cage. As soon as you get a seat, they instruct you to buy chips at the cage

I think they changed or streamlined their cage procedures. It's moved quickly the last few times I've been up there. I noticed the cashiers being comfortable with counting rows of reds and whites, quickly breaking down greens and not having to triple count and get a second opinion on 8 black chips.

Last Friday night when it was packed, they had a manager bring about 10k in chips out to the table closest to the cage, near the lounge chairs, specifically to sell to incoming players, leaving the cage for cashing out only. That seemed to speed things up.

Well thanks for the advice, Judgy McJudgerson.

table games can be found with minimum buy-ins as low as $25, a very modest price compared to the second-floor poker room where you’ll have to pony up at least $100 to get a seat.
Hmmm, I only have $200. Looks like I'll get a lot more play hitting the tables than poker! lol boston.com

Idk I felt like that article missed a lot of under $20 food options. Waterfront and Garden Cafe’s lunch menu just to name a couple.
Was their any mention of poker?

I only have a small sample size but when I was there, they used an empty table near the cage where you could buy your chips from. Don't they still use that method? It was super fast and convenient. You only had to use the cage when cashing out.

Fwiw, drink service was also great when I played. But I played at the 3/6 tables that were conveniently located near the kitchen.

Hey, someone has to keep limit poker from dying out!

I have played 3xs a week since they opened and every Friday and Saturday and haven’t seen or used it. If I can color up through players or dealers, I just take my chips home though

I was there last Saturday only.
When I went to cash out the 100 something in chips I had, the line at the cage was long. I turned to the table I mentioned giving out chips.
They said they couldn't give me back cash for my chips. That they could only accept cash to give chips to the players. But, they were able to give me one black $100 chip for all my white $1 chips and said it was fully ok to take that home. So that's what I did.
