Twin Rivers offers comped rooms? Off solely poker or do you have to play slots and/or table games?

They've been working on the cage, and they are moving part of the poker room into the Promotions room. Specifically, I would speculate that they will be opening the wall between tables 16-25 and the promo area.

Could you give an estimate on how long your sessions are? I've been playing long sessions at Foxwoods in the hope of receiving free rooms but no luck yet. Might set my sights on TR.

I think rewards are better for poker players at Foxwoods. If you play 15 hrs a month over 6 months you should hit Gold status and that will entitle you to free rooms Sun-thurs ( based on availability). No Fri/Sat. That's just a guess based on my recollection. Maybe calling member rewards or the poker room can make a better estimate.

Also, they have teir multiplier days , which are listed on bravo, and that accelerates everything . Also, when you earn gold, they also offer $15-25 in rewards most days and some free gift cards and concerts. If you play table games too, things get better. Platinum status is much more difficult to get, but Gold isn't too bad.

Yes. I'm a Gold at Foxwoods. I was out of town for a little over 3 months and since my return I've been playing sessions of 6-8 hours. No comped rooms as of yet.

My rewards are $10-$15. Before my 3 month hiatus they were $15/$25, sometimes higher.

Anyone have an idea of the turnouts for the Wednesday tournament. Was thinking of playing during the week of xmas-nye and wanted a rough estimate on number of players, payouts, and most importantly length of tourny.

I looked on Hendon Mob but I could not see anything.

Was thinking the same, from what I've gathered talking to people: around 100ish entries and goes until 6-7pm.i don't know how the holiday will affect the attendance

Its on Hendon mob now. The Monday 240 gets a lot more players probably due to the start time since its an identical format but 4pm not 10am

You can see the tourney info live on pokeratlas. Just look for yourself on Wednesday and watch when it ends, how many players it gets, etc

I need to park overnight in Boston for 1 day midweek near a T stop. Does anyone know of any issues with parking at Encore for a night without spending any time in the casino or hotel?

It depends on your definition of "near." Even the closest T station is going to require you to take a shuttle to get to the Encore that runs about every 30 minutes.

If you do it once, the odds of something happen is pretty low. If you are doing every week for months at a time, odds are decent that you'll get towed.

Has anyone heard what the short term plan is for the poker room? There's big areas blocked off next to the men's bathroom and in the old promotions area I think, with like 9 tables in that area running today. Also the cage is about a third the size it used to be.

I can't get a straight answer on whether they're expanding or downsizing the poker room. I've heard they're adding more slots up there and that they're adding more poker tables not sure

One of the dealers told me that they're moving tables to the empty room that's next door that I don't think they've ever used. I don't think it's getting smaller.

Yeah...you'll get towed and it's nothing near a T-stop

I've done it probably 20 times since they opened... I leave my car in the garage on the side where the hotel entrance is, or at least in that general area (re: a car sitting on the hotel side of the garage won't look so out of place if it sits there for a few days),then grab an Uber to Logan leaving my car there for 4-7 days each time and never had a problem. Disclaimer: Your results may vary

Thanks for the replies, everyone. To update this for anyone in the same situation.

I parked overnight, 4PM to 10AM and my car was not towed or messed with in any way. I was, however, not allowed onto the casino floor because I had a backpack. So in order to actually leave the garage with luggage you'll have to either A) find an elevator that leads up to the hotel from the garage, or B) do what I did and dodge security and walk up the ramp that leads to the garage.

The walk from Encore to Wellington station is about 20 minutes, the shuttle leaves only once per hour now. If you want to take an uber/lyft from the casino you can just take the elevator up to the highest level of the garage and be driven straight out.

I would think the walk to the Sullivan Square T-Stop would be much quicker than hoofing it to Wellington... As far as getting to and from my car I always took an Uber so I never encountered casino security.

It's strange that I always bring a carrier/messenger bag with me to Encore and have never been denied entry (and only searched 2x) in 4 years of going there. Not even an issue when I had food in Tupperware.

Sad how this place had so much potential to be the poker jewel of the east coast now it’s an afterthought

How would they know you are parking with out using the casino?

How are the 2/5 games? Sorry if this is too noob but I've been beating 1/3 for 10bb/hr over a few hundred hours and I find it mostly boring. Aside from the occasional punters wandering in its a lot of super tight nit rocks that its hard to get paid off on anything. I've been making decent profit bluffing regs off their hands by jamming but no one seems to bluff and it feels like a game of bingo.
