I like the idea, even if time consuming and probably not worth it.

If we say the lists are too long and rake too high, then never go >>> They win.
If we go and have a fairly busy poker room, paying their high rake >>> They win.

The only way is for **** to hit the fan: Keep the parking lot busy, create a huge wait list that is going to be a nightmare to manage (like call to be on wait list and never show up), take parking spots and go put 1$ on something stupid but no more, etc.

Plenty of ways to be super annoying if coordinated well as a community.

But is it worth the energy and time? Prob not.

I'll buy the most beat-up used car I can find, get there at 8am, park in a prime spot, put my name on all the waitlists, and just sit at Dunkin' drinking a new coffee every 2 hours, lose my spot on the list, put it back on, and work remotely until the poker room closes for the day.

Any word on 5/10 time rake?

I like the idea of the floor manager throwing rocks, another good option if encore is checking this page is to remove the chairs, standing only poker is innovative.

Just going on what i was told by someone at management level but they may have made a few exceptions after I got the info I posted... I was told they needed all table games dealers to stay on in that department because they are needed there more (more profitable?)... who knows

Either a joke or wishful thinking. According to Poker Atlas, at the moment although there are 12 tables running there isn't one person waiting for a game. Apparently Encore management have better evaluated demand then the players have!

well it says registration is available from 11 am and it wasn't 11 when that was posted. there are lists now, albeit not crazy

There's 65 people on the waitlists right now according to poker atlas. Going to take hours to run through that list with 12 tables.

Here’s the info I’ve gathered:

Games running:
1/3 NL (100-500)
2/5 NL (300-1k)
5/10 NL (500-1.5k)
2/2 PLO (200-500)

About 4-5 of 1/3 and 2/5
1 5/10 and 1 2/2 PlO

Rake is 10% up to $10 for all games. (No time rake even on 5/10).

Promotions running normally at tables OUTSIDE of 5/10. They’re not taking a drop for the promotions since this money was previously generated from before the pandemic. 5/10 ineligible since “they didn’t contribute to the pool before” the pandemic

Floor indicated 5/10 buyin is going to be raised, possibly to uncapped. Sounded like this change may happen soon (they wanted it for today but weren’t able to get gaming commission approval fast enough).

Floor indicated they intend to move 5/10 back to a time rake game. Timing on this uncertain

Uncapped? So they want to kill the 5/10 pool fast and get a raked game in there when there's no fun players left. Smart actually.

Also, free drink service is still around.

Any thoughts in regards to this opening and if it will be felt by any of the NH rooms? If so which rooms and how badly will this affect them?

I doubt it has any impact. The NH rooms survived when Encore had 74 tables and ran 24/7. Chasers is the closest room and they have 10 games going with 30+ on waitlists.

I doubt it will have much impact with the current offerings Encore has. But it most definitely had a huge impact on NH rooms when it first opened, especially Chasers where the number of tables playing were cut in half and wait lists basically disappeared.
