They must have taken it down. I clicked on it earlier and it came up. Unfortunately I don't still have the tab up to save it

I wouldn't have been willing to play 4-handed poker anyhow. So long as the delay for poker is tied to their getting back more quickly to 9-handed play, I'm fine with sitting between plexiglass and my neighbors, I am OK with it.

Interesting how I have the complete opposite stance:
-My dream is to have 4-max tables open, always (with the right rake of course). You can play so much more this way. More interesting situation.
-I am absolutely NOT willing to play with plexiglass and all. It ruins the game completely and makes it a drag. It will also probably slow it down to an even slower pace that what it already is. Mind as well play online.

That said, if it reopens and you happen to go, I would be really interested to hear about your experience.

Yah I can’t see myself wanting to play walled off from other people. I’m social at times/quiet at times but I enjoy the casual banter and human contact. It’s a bigger issue than poker but I’m not sure walling off from each other is going to solve anything long term. There are a few players I wouldn’t mind if we could be plexiglass glass around though.

Dividers are pretty pointless when you consider the contact with chips, cards, and cash. At a grocery store you can argue for plexiglass, there's minimal passing back and forth especially as credit/debit has become more and more popular over cash. Doesn't matter if they sanitize the chips and change the cards every few hours, by then the chips have been redistributed among the players and dealer and the cards have passed back and forth so many times, there's no way any precaution is going to mitigate that contamination. I've caught myself touching my face a lot in jobs where we're told not to like hospitals and restaurants. Now, even when wearing a mask for just an hour to go out, I get itches underneath that are unbearable and have to reach under the mask. Gaming just shouldn't be a thing until they get a better volume of testing and a better understanding of immunity and transmission.

Why? Because you can’t manage to make yourself follow the rules? Plenty of people may be able to avoid touching there face. Why should your deficiency preclude them?

If you can observe one person who doesn't know you're watching and see how often they touch their face and come away with less than 10 times in the hour, I'll be amazed. It isn't a matter of "you can't follow the rules", most people don't even know they've done/are doing it. I've literally been in an operating room when a doctor or assistant was sterile and they mistakenly wiped their own brow or otherwise contaminated themselves, having to stop and re-sterilize before continuing. I've also seen waitresses and waiters minutes after they exited a training reminding them not to touch their faces on the floor, accidentally do it and a manager pull them aside and they had no idea they even did it.

You are justifying and rationalizing. Yes, the average person will frequently touch their face but the average person can learn not to. Will everyone violate the rule at least rarely. But just because you can’t do it or have see others that don’t does not mean it can’t be done.

So yes it is about not being able to follow the rules. If you have or learn discipline a person can learn to follow the rules

You're right, I'm just making excuses. There's no scientific evidence whatsoever that you can possibly find through the incredibly difficult to use search engines.

You can reduce through effort, but you'll never eliminate, especially while in a social setting where you can't focus on the thing you're trying to stop. On the bright side, you've given me a good laugh picturing 4 players and a dealer all literally crying because they can't rub their itchy eye or nose, or the itchy nose causing a sneeze and filling either their mask with snot and spit or, if no masks, a Jackson Pollock on the sneeze guard Plexi installed at the table. Good times! Poker is going to be hilarious!

They might never open the poker room at Wynn again. What do you guys think? It’s got to be repurposed to rovide more space for the more profitable games and I imagine they won’t ever bring it back to former glory.

Live Poker will be back to normal once Real Life gets back to normal. As long as we are living this nonsense version of life we will have to play a nonsense version of poker. When these casinos open up Poker is going to be the absolute BOTTOM priority of things to bring back.

Some people are pro-vaccine, others anti-vaccine, but that isn't relevant regarding the restrictive guidelines we will have in this country. The hard reality is that normal will not exist until a vaccine becomes widely available. Until then, there are going to be restrictions in place such as distancing, masks, occupancy limits, sporting events in empty stadiums, AND widespread live poker in casinos. We also have this fall to worry about which some scientists are fearing a second wave will be worse than this spring.

Agreed. Aside from card rooms, it will be difficult for most full-service casinos to justify reopening their poker room.

While you were staying at home, this happened. This is Route 28 (aka, Charles River Dam Road, or the road that runs in front of the Museum of Science). It connects with 93 North and South and Storrow Drive, and the traffic was terrible during rush hours. Many of us have to traverse some parts of this road on the way to Encore. Well, the lanes in the red stripes are now bus-only lanes.
