I have no inside info either directly or indirectly. The only info I've found on the interwebs is on another board where someone stated that it's 10% of the theo of the game/machine. If true, that means it's going to vary from machine to machine, and jpsych happened to be playing a 95% payback slot machine.

They are promoting and running multiple sattys to the $1100. There is virtually no chance that this event draws as few as 150 entrants. My expectation is in the 275-350 range.

I have no idea how it works. I just kept adding money until it said I had 1 comp dollar. $220 was my magic #
You do have to pull your card out and reinsert it for the totals to be updated.

Mods may want to update the rake info in the FAQ on the front page.

For simplicity I would reword it: 10% rake up to $6 max plus $1 promo drop. During high hand periods promo drop is $2. But yes, this is accurate.

I'll edit it soon. I have a cruise giveaway there on Saturday and I'm not even showing up to claim it. I'm with jpsychlady, screw this place. I even have 2 free rooms Sun-Sat all month, and over $200 comp dollars, but F this place.

Get there before noon, or maybe even early afternoon, and you'll probably be fine on Saturdays. Otherwise, park in Rivergreen and take the shuttle. Yes, it sounds terrible, and that's why it'll be available. You could also do the reverse-RhodyGuy, which would be to park in the Everett shopping mall (which the shopping mall doesn't want you to do) and then take a rideshare to Encore, but you might as well use Rivergreen instead of all that. If all else fails, there's always the 1 compdollar valet parking.

Call and ask them how many parking spots are left, and then decide.

Oh, I see that the cruise promo doesn't start until 2pm, so get there earlier and it should be good.

Actually, it seems the promo is staggered by tiers. Black tier probably starts at noon, platinum at 2pm and red at 4pm.

When deciding whether to sacrifice compdollars for parking, keep in mind that compdollars do expire (6 months from the date they were accrued), so if you don't have another use for them ...

I would 100% call people out to the floor that confirmed they were using Encore garage parking for reasons other than visiting the casino (e.g. that example provided previously around someone parking there instead of their condo).

I’ve talked to a casino manager about the parking situation there and their perspective is that they can’t offer poker players comped parking with $1 poker comps because poker players would be filling up the garage. I wouldn’t imagine that they’re not OK with poker players filling the garage but people that use the garage exclusively to defray their condo parking charges are OK.

This is BS and is taking money out of pockets just like the higher rake is. Call ‘em out and hopefully things eventually change with parking there.

Encore's garage is supposed to hold over 2,900 cars, but I think sublevel 1 and a large chunk of sublevel 2 are dedicated to valet, execs and big wigs.

(For comparison, the Mohegan Sun, albeit a much larger resort casino, has capacity for over 13,000 vehicles.)

Confirmed, but I might use Guvna's wording: 10% up to $6 max, plus $1 promo drop ($2 promo drop during high hand periods).

I am pretty sure 2-2 PLO8 hasn't run in weeks because some of the regs protested the $6 rake.

Anything else besides:

Poker points merging with regular points

Safe Deposit Boxes

Fixing the USB electrical ports/chargers at the tables

That haven't been and probably won't ever happen?

Yes, PLO8 has been dead for a while. That sucks. We never managed to get that game running consistently with all the New Hampshire players who were interested. Even last night 2-2 PLO died in the middle of the night and didn't get going again until the morning and the entire middle section had 2 tables, 20-40 Stud and 8-16 Mix that broke as well leaving a single table in the entire middle section.

No Gum Chewing at Encore

That's right, you can't chew gum here. A poker dealer recently made a player get rid of his gum.

At least she didn't make him stick it on his nose.

Thought you'd want to know. Pass it on....

I'm actually ok with this rule, especially with we adjustable seats and USB chargers under the table. Can't tell you how many times I've reached under those in NH/CT rooms to find some idiot's abandoned treasure.
