Why and where was this question moved?

Games are usually pretty fishy (it's live ldo). Never played limit, so I don't know anything about that. There are usually several 1/2 NL tables going and some of them you can buy in for $200 or $400. They also have 2/5 NL, which I think has a 100bb max buyin.

There are usually nightly small buyin tournaments with structures (~15 min blind levels I believe). The calendar shows their basic weekly tournament schedule and below that is the schedule for the Emerald Coast Classic that's coming up soon.

Well ya, but the games are very easily beatable and the next closest card room is 2 hours away instead of 15 minutes. I think the rake is the same there too. So, Ebro kinda wins for me. :\

You can do both. Some 1/2 tables it's a $200 max, other 1/2 tables it's a $400 max.

Am i correct in interpreting this as no cap on the rake?

I really have no idea what that guy is talking about. BUT to answer your question, there is a cap. I believe it's $5, plus there's a $2 jackpot rake. Yes, it's a little steep but if you can play poker, you'll make money. Sadly, the military keeps me from going home and playing there, but it is one of the softest games I've seen in the country, and it is a fairly large poker room. Hope this helped. Enjoy.

Played here last night. 1/2 NL. Bought in for 300 and played TAG. got paid off on 3 big pots with flush possible on 2 boards and 1 board paired. Had the nuts all 3 times versus mediocre holdings.

Cashed out with nice little $750 profit minus the $70 I lost on the puppies. Going back tonight. Seems super soft with mostly calling stations that fold to draws versus aggression.

I'll be in the area for a month in March. Last time I was there FL still had the 100 buy in cap. Hopefully the action is worth the drive

I played there when I was at Fort Walton Beach on business in 2015 or 2016 (don't remember). It's in the middle of nowhere and everyone who was there came to gambool. Only 1/2 running at that time, but the action was off the hook.

I played the 1-3 NLHE ($300-2000) table there last week on a Tuesday night, and it was one of the best games I have ever seen, and I wasn't in a great seat either. I was in the 1 seat, there was a competent player in the 2, and a relatively good one in the 3. 4-9 were all complete donks. Some things I witnessed:

- $110 preflop open in middle position and 6 callers. Guy had his aces cracked after he shipped all in ($800) on the flop, called by top pair that made 2 pair on the turn.

- UTG preflop open for $40 with 5 callers in front of me. I picked up KK on the button and 3 bet to $225. UTG and 1 other call (they were a little scared of me by this point). J53cc flop, UTG ships it for $600 and change, second guy tank folds. Clean runout against AJ off.

- At least half of the hands, it was $40 preflop and more than half the table saw a flop.

- One guy got caught 4 times min-raise bluffing a $150+ river bet. He commented that he couldn't understand how I won a couple of pots with ace high or middle pair, but he always loses with top pair.

- In the cutoff after 5 limps, I open to $45 with AKhh and get 8!! calls. 456 rainbow flop, UTG makes it 110 and 4!!! calls in front of me, button/SB fold and BB calls. I flat the $110, see a Qs on the turn, and it checks around. Ks on the river (3 spades on board). UTG insta-ships $535, and it folds to me. I eye up the BB and his $1500 effective stack and call the $535 figuring a raise never gets called by worse and cannot force a fold of better than TPTK given the pot size. BB (said he had a set of 4s) tanks for a looooong time while UTG gets wad of fresh benjamins from his wallet, and eventually folds. Apparently, UTG has pulled the 'ol "ready to rebuy" trick a few times before he tabled the nuts. This time he was really ready to rebuy 'cause he turned over A7 off.

- 9 seat took a Fentanyl and was drooling.

In for $1000, out for $4100 in 4 hours, and I was by no means running in God mode. But, I must have passed every deer in the universe on the drive there, and I had Montezumas revenge the next day (I blame the Fentanyl drooler).

Mighty stout call with that AK on the flop, but glad it worked out. Sounds like a heck of a fun game.

I was there this past October and I ran into the same craziness at the 1/3 table. Extremely soft players and it was playing huge(for the stakes). In for 1k, out for 6k in 4.5 hours.

Any regs or anyone who’s played here recently? Going to Panama City in a few weeks. Haven’t never been in this room, so I figure I may check it out. I’ve always heard Ebro has a bad wrap for parking lot security to be non existent. Few stories of ppl getting robbed and jumped. Can anyone confirm or deny these allegations? How are the games? 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 nlh?

Possibly. Given the level of competition, I was relatively comfortable with a 9.x:1 call with 2 overs and a back door nut flight draw. If I felt like anyone in there actually had a nutted hand, then it would have been an auto fold. But given the action and what I had seen of the players/level of play, it seemed highly unlikely.

Sorry wewa, but I have not been back there. I will agree though that I had my head on a swivel in the parking lot. There were minimal lights. 1 security guard for the entire place and he was inside. It would not have been a hard thing for anyone so inclined to ambush folks in the parking lot with relatively little fear of consequences.
