I went there (sunnybrook) last week and asked about it and the guy running it told me that it's 1/2, but the table basically enforces a $10 straddle (how does 1/2 plo have a straddle of $10, I don't know). It was late and I never had a chance of getting a seat since I was 10th on the list so after half an hour of talking I left.
The next day I got there early and it was more of the same. 75%-90% of the hands were straddled for usually $10 and occasionally $5 for 5 hours that I played. Seriously there were only a couple players at the table that didn't straddle at all and I'll be damned if they were going to "enforce" a straddle on me w/ my tiny $200 stack.
I don't mind playing a 5/10 plo at all even w/ an occasional $20 straddle (which is what the Greektown game is), but being restricted to a $200 buyin w/ the way the game is played makes it a crap shoot. The buyin is totally out of line w/ the game and it becomes a preflop shove-fest.
The dealers aren't bad, but they were all really slow in figuring out the pot so you didn't get in a lot of hands
I just looked at the website for the first time:
http://sunnybrookpoker.com/
It says $5 rake for all cash games. That's not true because I'm sure there were dealers raking $6. I'm 100% sure
