TwoBlack9s sucks at poker. He can't even beat little old ladies. Way to go sir.
Anyone else interested in a HORSE like game? Any chance a private game or a charity might run one? Just throwing out ideas, as TwoBlack9s money spends better than everyone elses.

And by private game, I mean one of us...

The guy has ~800
Takes 200 to play bj.
I point it out to dealer. Dealer says he didn't see and shrugs.
The guy comes back to poker table and puts approximately $50 back on the table.
At this point I'm thinking he lost the rest in bj.
The guy stands up a bit later, reaches in his pocket, and pulls out about $100 to play bj.
I point it out to the only other player at the table who seems to be upset about player going south.
He calls floor over and informs him what is going on.
Floor basically says too bad, so sad. Doesn't even throw a warning.

What casino/table no.?

...not here, since by now there is absolutely no way to prove nor remedy anything.

Once he busted, I saw him go back to the blackjack table and go digging in his pockets. He may have won money at blackjack; however, he brought way less back to the poker table than what he left with. Once htis was realized, floor was notified. Floor shrugs and says they have to be notified when it happens. wtf? It happened and you were notified.

Every time I play with this guy, he dumps anywhere from 1k-3k. Obviously the players want him to keep coming back; however, it seems floor lets him get away with **** that he shouldn't just because he is a regular.

Also last night after the fish leaves, guy calls my 10 high river bluff. I say nice call and go to muck face down. dealer says "He called, you must show." what? I can muck my cards whenever I want, right? I don't have to show.
even if the dealer is looking right into my eyes and telling me i have to show, if i have 4 high and i wanna muck i'm gonna throw em face down into the muck. the dealer's wrong in "making" you show, and almost no dealer is gonna break dealer etiquette (rules?) by pulling dead cards out of the muck.

that being said most of the time if someone calls my bluff and i have air i turn it over right away and don't make a big deal about it.

Hey sorry I missed your call earlier. Did you ever find an open pawn shop so you could afford to play today?

Also, I got a few PM's from people interested in 4-8 or 5-10 mix games, keep them coming if you're interested. Please include what days you prefer to play, where you want to play, and what games. Waiting to hear from Jose still....

P.S. Roma owes me $500

P.S.S. Craps is a terrible disease

Re: fish ratholing

Don't bite the hand that feeds you. If the guy will donk off 1k-3k a session, I think you can allow him to take 200 off his stack to donk off at blackjack. It's definitely a questionable response from the floor but just keep your eyes open and if it continues to happen with greater and greater amounts then you can start to make a bigger fuss then.

Re: mucking when first to show

You are 100000000000% allowed to just muck your hand when first to show. Of course by doing so, you are allowing your opponent to collect the pot without showing his hand. The dealer is wrong and is out of line

Sort of.

If a Player at the table wants to invoke IWTSTH for a called hand, S/he may do so and force you to show even if you want to muck. However I've never seen a room where a Dealer can invoke the rule.

northville downs has the same rules as the casino, besides paying 3-2 on blackjack. not sure why you think they take ties?

Not true at all. They pay even money on naturals. You lose on a tie when you have 20 or 21 (not sure exactly, but it's something like this), you can only double 10 or 11. There's a few more little things as well that make it not worth playing but if you still want to play after you've read those rules chances are you are not a winning gambler.

If you need more proof of how bad the house games are for the players, simply wonder over to the let it ride table and look at the payouts. You will find that a royal flush on let it ride pays 30-1...

Hey guys i'm a LTL but just getting into posting more on 2+2.

I think i can convince Trip Kings to let us use their "high roller" room to play a mix game. Lets see what we can come up with but the owner and I are pretty close, and they have a tough time getting a consistent game. This could be a "you scratch my back, i scratch yours"

Also, i was playing in vegas for a while and was playing a 12/24 mix game that was phenomenal. There were more draw games and not very many of the regular games played (i.e. nlhe, plo) They played games such as badugi, baducey, badacey, razzdugi, crazy pineapple, ect. The game was always awesome... Just my 2cents, but i'm in on any game you guys get together.

you're right about doubling on only 10/11, i forgot about that but they definitely do not take pushes. i played there last week. and playing blackjack in general isn't smart.

I'll take your word for it. I'm almost 100% certain they pay even money on naturals though.

I guess the rules may differ at different charity casinos because I was at electric stick on friday and read the blackjack rules and I remember for sure that you lose on 20 and 21 if the dealer ties you. But they also paid 3-2 on natural blackjacks.

^^^^ Blackjack isnt smart but it can be alot of fun, esp. if you are up money.. but I agree that it is impossible to beat a charity room BJ table

yeah. almost every charity room has different rules, the ones with less action have worse rules. if you play at the river charity room at 21 & van dyke, they have greektown rules. and yeah, they only pay even money on blackjack, i said that earlier (might have been confusing.) moral of the story is to stick to poker.

Yea keep us updated on that for sure.

I remember being in Vegas a couple years ago at the Wynn and they had a similar mix of the games that you described with an 8-16 limit.

I do owe 2B9 500. You should ask 2B9 about how he lost stake money?
Btw, who are you Scotty? Like would I recognize you? I play a little at Trips. I bet they would let us use the room. I think only 1 dealer would be able to deal the game, which is funny.
For those who dont know, Trip Kings is about 2 miles off of Ann Arbor Road and I-275.
