Taylor Lanes poker room officially closed last night. Rumor has it that they are trying to move to Thunderbowl Lanes in AP.

I don't think that's possible under state law, unless Thunderbowl also has a supplier license.

I think I went there last Tuesday. We had 5 runners to start the tourney and 14 after an hour and a half. No cash game going.

That is pretty sad. Are the dealers horrible or something? Most rooms I have played in can always get a decent turnout for a tourney. Some struggle with cash games tho.

Better than you average casino dealer but nothing special. They even gave free pizza for the tourney players.

Could be. I didn't think that place was big enough for 10 tables tho.

It was pretty dead also when we went.

Weren't they playing 0.25/0.50 cash game in the vip room there lol?

"It's me darn nickname," replies the Scotsman. "My name is Charlie. I spent a year o' me life buildin' that church on the other side of town. I laid every single brick. He finishes his second pint and waves for another.

"Then you know what I did? I built that gorgeous boat you see docked on the shore. I cut every piece of wood myself. I painted the entire thing by hand. I broke my back working for a year building that lovely boat. But do they call me Charlie the Boat Builder? No, no they don't."
"Ya, I never heard of no Charlie the Boat Builder," nods the bartender, and he refills Charlie's pint one more time.
"Ah," says the Scotsman, "but you fook ONE SHEEP...!"

Depends on your definition of busy. Short answer..... not really. Unfortunate. They do have 10 tables but rarely ever fill them up. They do the free pizza on a number of nights as far as I know, but I haven't been playing there as much lately since I moved out of the area. Most of their dealers are competent but I've come across a few that also are less competent. I like the fact that they have 1:30 tournaments because I prefer to play earlier, but the sad thing is that they tend to get more runners for those than the RxR. I still don't really understand why they don't get more traffic. Their cash games are light, but seems if they got more tournament runners, it would help that situation.
