Raised to $25 UTG with red AA. Get 2 callers. Flop A T 6 I bet 45. Both call again. Q I check. Guy bets 100 (additional 450 back). Other folds. I call. 2 river. He says all-in before I even check. I fold. He said I was beat.

Was set over setted 3 hands after that with 88 vs JJ on a J98A2. Ended up losing $800 on that hand. Only lost $99 on the night in $2/5, so I consider that a victory since it could've easily been -$1k.

Worst beat all night was breaking the iPhone :/

Terrible run of cards. Nice fold on the set of aces. I agree you have to look at that as close to a win with all those beats.

The trick really is to have the right image and not to pay off the passive players when they push back (aka hero calls).

Cash is way more reliable for income if you know what you're doing. Tournaments are easy and fun, but can be a luckfest unless you're Caveman, VI, Jose or Boutrous. You all should start a training site.
Just folded bottom 2 to top set. Your advice is paying off already. I owe you a beer.

Has anyone been getting carded at the MCC poker tables lately? Friday I sat at 1/2 while waiting for 2/5 and was carded by the dealer. I don't have a problem with it, but I am 26. I guess I need to grow my beard to caveman's length.

A few weeks ago someone was saying a bad beat hand was dealt, but one of the players was underage so they didn't pay out. Not sure if that is true or related. Anyone else hear about that?

I've been carded at the poker table on a handful of occasions, I've also been carded at the desk once or twice when checking in. I know a few months ago they were getting stricter and IDing some people at the desk and writing down their name and description on a log. I am 31 and have been a reg at mcc for over 6 years and sometimes it's annoying but I also understand it since I look like I'm 15

Went down there on Friday for a change of pace ... holy **** I'd forgotten how bad the dealers were there.
At least the players were also pretty bad to make up for it.

Sick brag; I hit a Royal Flush while playing cash at Snookers yesterday, managed to get paid off too. Only ****ty part is that i was just about to reload up to a full stack as i had lost a chunk of my stack 2 hands prior so I start the hand with around ~$115

I was UTG+1 with Ad10d button straddle for $5, i limp and it goes 6 way to flop.
Flop: KdQdJc board get checked around
Turn: Jd and again it gets checked around. ****!
River: blank(could've been a Joker for all i know)

I bet out $15 and get raised to $35, folds around and I raise to $75 and guys ships his stack on me. After I wipe the drool from my mouth i snap call and flip my hand. He rolls over KJ for a Boat and the dealer starts shipping the pot his way until he realized what I had exactly.

Beat: Wish I had reloaded before the start of the hand. Oh well can't be too greedy I guess.

Grats! I hit my first Royal this year too, but it was reversed. The guy who paid me off was short stacked. Can't believe you got your stack in on a limped pot!

Guess it's that time of year for those to come out. Guy hit a Royal on me yesterday in a tournament. What's sick is I flopped a boat, leaving him a one-outter for the pot..... which he got.... for the Royal. Still clawed back for 4th though.
