But this is about a friend and charity. I may need to remind myself of that several times throughout the night. I need to not even think of this as Poker.
Ugh.
Terrible structure and worse play.
Old guy to my right wins a huge pot when the board is showing 4 to a straight. He mucks. Someone says: "Do you have a 2?"
He grabs his cards and flips them back over showing a deuce.
Opponent took it very well and allowed the pot to be pushed to the Old Guy.
Later I'm in a hand against him. I have pocket threes. Flop comes A 3 6. Two Diamonds.
Guy bets into me. I shove. He tank calls. Still doesn't show his hand. Turn is a diamond. River is a Diamond. He shows A 3 for Flopped top/bottom that went runner-runner Flush. 3 of freaking diamonds!
Terrible structure. Start with 2,000 in chips 50/100 blinds. What is that an M of something like 13? A ton of people well over 150. Re-buys up to something like 7,000. Just insane. But again it was for a friend and for charity.
