I like where you're heads at! I know 5 days isn't enough but we're staying on the beach in Santa Monica and those prices are high enough to break the bank.

Definitely for stalking purposes. Having her with me we typically tend to splash around in some 3/6 LHE games so she doesn't get scared but since we're on vacation I don't think I will leave her be to go grind.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone's been to either a WPT/WSOP event and if there's entertaining things to do/see OR if the Commerce Casino is really worth experiencing since it's the "Worldest Largest Poker Casino", whatever that means. I lost my ass at the Bicycle when I was 19 years old (yeah, long story) but I definitely wasn't impressed enough with the room to make a stop to it while on vaca. I wonder if you get seats for the final table if you're required to sit there the whole time or if I'm dying of boredom after a half hour if I can just get up and leave.

JP, I lived in SoCal for like 7 years before moving to Michigan. You might already know this, but definitely catch sunset and margaritas at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. Sushi on Newport Beach pier is the bomb. Hit up some In and Out or Carl's Junior for me while you're there.

Congrats on everyones run good.

Last Saturdays O8 at cadas didn't get going til 9. Really it only lasted til about 11:00 when they switched the game to RxR plot/nl. I left to go get hammered at the bar in that plaza, but left with a hair over 200.

Tonight i plan on playing the greektown o8. I have a friend from Sweden stopping by wanting to play O8. He was surprised how much americans limp in the 1-2 game. Should be entertaining to hear the regs crying in the o8 about allthe raising. Can't wait.

There is a really good Italian place in Upland, but thats pretty far from where JP is staying...

If you dont mind me asking, where at in SoCal? I have family in Upland. My mother went to USC (long ago) and I was accepted (and enrolled but never attended, long story) at UC Riverside. I fly in and out of Ontario when I visit, so I don't have to deal with all of the traffic and crap out of LAX.

It was Event#1 re entry with 2,657 entrants. I got 7th for $13,600 only 6 players away from $96,800 so sickkk!!!

The restart to Event#5 starts in 30min and we have 35 players left. I looked online and I'm 6th in chips. It's $25k for 1st place Vamoooooo

I must have seen you at some point because I was riding the rail for part of the last 2 tables in event #1. My friend busted at 16th. He was the chip leader and got KK vs JJ vs AQ and lost. He busted a few hands after that. We did the math and found he would've had 35% of the chips in play with 16 to go if he would've won with KK.

I'm driving down to Daytona Beach w/my wife to hang w/her snowbird parents. I've never played poker in FLA. Gave any of you Michiganders played in Daytona?

I have only played in Tampa HR. Download some Ante Up podcasts for your trip. They're from Florida and their latest show is on South Florida poker.
