So an interesting hand came up at MGM tonight. Mp jams pf for $10. He was all in. I call and three more call. His friend in the bb makes it $110. Everyone folds. Board runs out kkq89. Dude ($10 shortstack) shows AJ and his friend ($110 bb) mucks. I was so close to calling the floor. What should/could I do? Any ideas? Or am I over reacting? I think it was obviously collusion. The best hand he coulda had was AT not even a pair. I may run that by the floor tomorrow and see what they suggest as the guy says he plays there a lot.

Sounds kinda shady to me.

But why get involved in a pot with a short stack like that anyways with multiple people behind you?

Definitely bring it up to the floor. This is why the "I want to see the hand" rule is for.

I was heated, but I held it in and bit my tongue because the guy had a descent stack and didn't play very well. He ended up winning a huge pot with 56dd on a K75hhx flop against KK, AA, ATh. Yeah, he chased for runner runner 4,3 under a ton of heat! lmao But after that hand he locked up bad! I should have stopped the action and demanded the floor. At least they should have looked to see if he folded the winner, which is extremely likely.

Wow, that's ****ing interesting man. That's ****ing interesting. In general, if you see a dude cheating at a low stakes game, he's not a good player. (why would you need to cheat vs a field of mostly droolers?) The plot thickens, lol!

+1 to you for keeping your emotions under control, though. I like that you wanted the bad player to have a good stack in front of him more than you wanted justice for that $10 he may have swindled out if you--good killer instinct, there. Just sucks they tightened up.

BTW, IWTSTH is technically in the rule book to prevent the type of collusion that may have happened at your table. I personally dont cheat, but I've had some highly interested bastard call for the dealer to expose my cards more than a few times. It kinda sucks when you lose a hand and some DB wants to see what garbage you were trying to suck out with!!! Pretty ****ty that the dealer **** blocked you the one time that rule could have been applied correctly.

Yeah, I'm heading up there soon to pay. Please Patrick have enough dealers for this. It was so tilting when Snookers had some tables with the players dealing their own games.

JP, think about it, 32 dealers? I don't think any room in Michigan could do that. I know dealing your own game will probably be slower and more open to cheating, but I'm okay with it for first couple of rounds.

My problem with it is, will they arbitrarily pick the matches that need to deal for themselves? To me it's pretty unfair to be paying the same rake yet be not provided with the same service. I know for a fact that I won't be able to deal as many hands as their normal dealers and it honestly will probably effect my play as I'm watching Grandpa Joe across from me fumble the cards while shuffling. Perhaps ask for volunteers and offer them a comped lunch for dealing their heats or have half the field start at 1 and the other start at 1:30 (or as soon as dealers free up) to avoid any headaches.

Although, I'm playing regardless, I'm just lazy and want to be able to 3-bet as frequent as I do without having to deal every 4 seconds

Good point, and I agree with this. Everyone should be treated the same. I hope you get to three-bet a lot lol.

I really hate it when someone thinks we have some sort of rivalry after I bet them out of a couple of hands, cash games I don't mind it as much, but it tournaments it just makes things annoying.

Didn't cash but I made it further along than the last time I played there. Overall I feel I played a good game, cards just didn't fall my way when I needed them. There were over 180 entries, I'm not even sure what the final count was. I ended up being on one of the 'reserve' poker tables (translation: a pool table they convert to a poker table). That kinda sucked but whatever, just aesthetics. Then I got moved to one of the nicer tables but I was super short stacked.

Blinds were 3k/6k and I had 17k. UTG+1 I saw Kc9c and figured I'd go for it. UTG guy ends up pushing for less (15k), I put my 17k in, UTG+2 puts in his 14k and 2 other callers. I hit a K on the flop and it turned out I was good until the river where 15k guy hit his set of 4s. I won the side for 6k, that's all in on my BB, end up with AJs against AQo, board flushes and we chop that. Next hand I put it in with A8 and whiff, gg me.

A weird thing happened at my table during a break. When we all get back, one of the players stacks is missing and noone knows what happened to it. Dealer doesn't know, floor says they didn't move anyone, it's just gone. Pretty shady. We all knew that the guy did have chips before break and floor ends up giving him 25k. Pretty ridiculous that nobody was at the table during break keeping an eye on things.

@boutrous.... I was thinking of going back for the tournament tonight, you playing in it?
