"I'm only going to play with 100" was easily said until it didnt last more than 5 minutes. "Well another hundred couldn't hurt" was mumbled as I cursed inside. "Damn now i'm tilted and gonna press the numbers, they have to hit" lol.. I need to find better things to do when I get bored at a NLHE table..

It doesn't look like they have anythng planned for after the tournamant. Where else are they going to go other than cash games? The place should be loaded with fish wanting to see/play with the Wings.

Maybe it was a reference to something that went over my head. Wouldn't be the first time.
There are two styles of chairs at Trip Kings. We were in the nice ones that are at the tables that run down the middle of the room. The tables that run down the side of the room have chairs that aren't nearly as comfortable.... or just downright uncomfortable. Funny reference of being stolen from an elementary school but they're not quite that bad. Either that or your elementary school had WAY nicer chairs then the all plastic ones mine had.

I concur, but on a side note, while in vegas (my 33rd b-day) for the superbowl, I kept pressing the hard 6 (33). It hit while I had $60ish and at least a nickel for the crew! Not to reinforce thoughts of playing table games. BUT THAT **** IS FUN!!! hahaaaaa

If you really want to make money, let me roll and bet the don't!

Ok I have an ethics question for all you poker players. I'm playing 8/16 limit o8 last night and this hand/ situation comes up:

I'm in the big blind with 2 9 j k in an unraised pot, 5 people seeing the flop I believe. Flop comes 5 8 q rainbow and gets checked around. As the dealers burning I call out loud for a 10, and bam the 10 of diamonds hits the turn, giving me the nut straight and also giving the board a diamond flush draw. I lead out and get called in one spot by an older gentleman that is stuck quite a bit in the game. We see the river heads up and the river card is the seven of hearts, not changing the board other then bringing the low. I lead the river and here is where things get odd. Older gentleman tables his hand without calling and shows 2 3 9 j with the 9 j both being diamonds. I ask the dealer "did he say call", wanting to know b4 I table my hand. Dealer says no and asks the man if he wants to call. Player says no and dealer puzzlingly asks him again. Older player answers " of course not , I missed my straight flush draw," obviously not realizing he has the nut straight and a made low which was good for 3/4 of the pot.

Dealer pushes me the roughly $80 pot after mucking the other hand and the rest of the table all see what is going on as well. What do u do if you're in my shoes? Do you keep the pot since the player isn't wise enough to realize what he has? Give him the 3/4 of the pot that his hand would have earned? Split the pot with him? Thanks in advance for your input.

After thinking about it for a hand I gave the man half the pot. I made a case for a "fool and his money" vs karma. Karma won out.

Good choice imo. If it makes you feel better, just consider it money that you prob won off me in the first place

First of all, props to everyone at the table for abiding to one person to a hand. Second, no wonder that dude was stuck, he couldn't even figure out when he had the nuts (meh maybe he didn't want to get quartered?). Third, high marks to you for the karma move. Represent, brother. Well done.

The Friendly Bastard has returned to the Pampa's PLO8 game! After he showed up, I snagged some kid from the NLHE game that was high on more than life and the game got kicked up a notch and a half. Very fun.

Where this becomes noteworthy is that he said that he'll try to make the Saturday game this weekend and should be at Pampa's next week. So, you other PLO8 players had best not be lame and get yer asses to Cada's Saturday at 6pm sharp.
