Yup that was me, not runnin too good this weekend. O8 made a good run though; with him picking up the slack our team finished 6th in points out of 19 teams. While he battled for the individual prize, gambit and I played the 7:30, once again with me busting first. Had a good time though, was cool to meet those guys, glad they could make it out.

Thanks! Wish I could have won it, but made $30 for four way chop ( we were playing for first place money after that).

$1.50 beers as far as I could tell. Maybe DeuceFive can confirm.

Wish we could have checked out those other rooms after the long drive. Next time.

Call me a nit, but busting out with aces is never that bad.

I recommend Electric Stick next time you want to come to play out in that area the Sunday 4:00 $55 buyin usually gets 80 to 100 people and their are usually a few cash games going early on then they get more later.

Next time you guys come out to this area, this is where we should go. The team tournament was fun and all, but I think this room will be a bit more fulfilling to make a trip for.

When will you be starting the Omaha game at Cadas on Weds?
Let me know and I will spread the word.

I usually have a prior commitment on Wednesday nights, but either Sevup or Dharzhak in this thread usually setup the Wednesday game.

@Dharzhak, why don't you guys try running the game at Cada's this Wednesday to see how it goes? I will email the couple I was talking about and let them know if you decide to run it.

Jose,

were you playing 2/5 at MCC last night? I was playing and heard "Seat open for Jose at 2/5" and I looked around to see someone matching your avatar but didn't see you.

At my 1/2 table the guy to my direct left was blind betting ~$40 every hand. Slightly annoying but profitable nonetheless.

Lol.
No, that wasn't me. I haven't been at MCC since Thursday. I'll be there tonight around 9pm tho.

Michigan officials oppose Lansing casino plans

Quote:
Michigan's governor and attorney general are opposing plans to open a Lansing casino that would be operated by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Gov. Rick Snyder and Attorney General Bill Schuette jointly sent a letter to the tribe last week saying they believe the proposed casino would be "inconsistent with state and federal law" and would violate the tribe's gambling compact with the state. The letter said the state would take "whatever steps are necessary" to prevent the casino from opening.

Quick question, What is a typical time rake per 30 min. $6-8?
How about a heads up game?

Anyone going to play hi-lo at Greektown, tomorrow? Last week the game ended at 3pm. I would hate to be playing hi-low when the hold-em jackpot hits.

Yes, its me. Had to make a new name.
Yeah, that hand was brutal! Even worse was reading your post while steaming having dinner that someone from 2+2 was at table 1 seat 7. The same seat I just lost A8 to 68 against. (For the rest of you the flop was 886)

Thats what I rememeber was $6 at GTC.

I am putting together a high stakes Heads up matches and trying to find a fair rake, i was think about $9-1/2, being that its heads up.

Any thoughts?

Pat,

Soaring Eagle's rake used to be $6 per half hour.

Are you trying to figure out a fair rake for the HU matches with Joe?

It's definitely an interesting debate on what is acceptable. On one hand you're paying a dealer ~$10/hr so generating $12 in rake seems like bad business. But given the enigma of Joe's stake in the whole operation, charging upwards of $20 seems highly -EV, especially if the match is 2/5.

On second thought, I guess the allure of playing the WSOP champ can warrant a $19/hr rake but still think that if it's for the 2/5 match it should be slightly cheaper than for the 5/10 matches
