I guess you have to make up a TR when that happens. That would be so weird though. "What, I have $1k more now? How'd that happen?"

Snookers is on the other side of town for me. Northville has a $150 at 2p I think I'm gonna go to. 20K and apparently its 130 pre-reg yesterday and 140 to pre-reg today.

Anyone else gonna make it to Northville?

I do remember two hands: Disclaimer:They are choppy and not very good...

Spoiler:

Multiple limpers(~5 in a Straddle pot)
Hero MP 22
BTN (Young kid who was bragging about coming into town on a private jet who played a lot of pots with one pair)
Flop
A28X
UTG bets $15
Hero raises to $45
Btn starts talking and says he has some outs, Calls
UTG Folds
Turn K
Hero bets $85
Btn tanks, states he has a ton of outs and calls(leaving $110ish)
River T
I shove
Villain calls and rolls JQ
I pout very mildly as he tells me how I was behind. The dealer looked at me like "WTF" especially when I agreed with villain saying, "Great hand, I was way behind". Grrrr
BTW he locked up and didn't play a hand after.

Hand #2
2/5
This one is pretty hazy. I'll do my best not to bore you.
Villain (~$600)MP Makes it $20
Hero CO (~1K)23 makes it $60
Folds to villain who calls
flop($120)
A5Jx
Villain bets $50
Hero calls
Turn
6x
Villain checks
Hero bets $90
Villain calls ($400)
River
Blank (I have no clue what it was)
Villain checks
Hero bets $160
Villain tanks and asks me to show, I ho hum around and say something like, "Sure but you should really have to pay to see this one".
He folds, I show. He wasn't happy. The Asian woman to my right was dying.

After that I remember a few other spots that night not related to poker.

I wish I had some friends at the table to refresh my memory.

You got to love people who really want to donate when 1:45 comes rolling around in the charity games. That last 15 minutes has been very profitable for me over the past few months from people willing to go with hands very light or running terrible bluffs because they know the night is almost over which is a horrible mentality to have.

Winter Blast kicked off today. The line of vehicles going into G'town Parking Structure was all the way down I375 about a quarter of a mile. Plus it is a Red Wings night.

Wish I could go fishing on the Detroit River tonight.

Thanks, wasn't meant to be this time though.
5 hours in and there are still 3 tables going. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to 10:30 or 11:00.

Some questions I didn't want to start a thread for:

- Is a buck-a-pot cool (cash games)? I don't want to be a cheap ass but I also don't want to tip myself out of profit. Whether I take a $25 pot or a $400 pot is only tipping a dollar acceptable?

- What about the guy who seats me (cash games) when I get to the poker room, do I need to tip him?

- Hows 3kings in Canton (cash games)? Isn't Ed, the old Greektown poker room manager the one who owns/runs 3 kings? It's gotta be legit right?

- I always assumed MGMs poker room was the best but after reading some reviews on random sites circa 2010 it sounds not so much. What I read now leads me to believe MCC is the one to play at. Does MGM have a $1/hr comp for players? What about the others?

only because I've been drankin.. MGM shares are around ~$14 right now. Before the financial crisis in 2008 they were ~$80. They dropped then and are picking up steam again now. Take it for what it's worth.

A buck a pot is plenty. Don't worry about the details.

Tip if you feel like it. Most people don't bother.

Dunno

MCC is sort of the "old reliable". MGM is vairable. G'Town is middle of the road. I don't give a crap about comps.

This was funny to me only because I love non-sequitors. Everything that Pot Odds said is right on. I will be at 3Kings tomorrow and will try to find answers for you.

Really only one interesting hand to report. A few choppy/standard plays. This one I think I misplayed:

SB Hero (~300)
CO Villain (201)

5 Limpers
Hero QQ Raises to $18
CO Calls

Flop: JT6ccx

Hero bets $40
CO Flats

Turn: Tx
(this is where I believe I made a mistake)
Hero Checks
CO Jams $140 (left $3)

I tank. Whats a correct play. I have no info on villain. He was there for maybe 3 hands.

I could only put him on a range of these hands (roughly) TJ, 89, QK, 66, KJ, JQ, any flush draw...Having zero info I decided to..

Spoiler:
Call
River: Jx
Now I "know" I am beat, but he only has $3 left(which I couldn't raise on the turn???)
So I toss it in.
Villain: Starts cracking up laughing and rolls over 78os!!!
He went on to say he was just "screwing around cause I just won $800 on another table".

So, not to be results oriented, was this horrible? I kinda think it was very bad...

Btw, I crawled back and edged out a +213 trip.

I believe he runs it partly but his wife usually runs that room more as he spends more time at Queen of Hearts if I'm not mistaken. I haven't played enough at Trip Kings to comment but I've heard a few stories that makes me think the times I did play there it was just a dead night.
