Make it $30 and hope someone else raises so you can pile it in.

Then if everyone is solid, find a new table.

I'd like to warn you guys about Player's Golf and Poker in Livonia, MI, both at 8 and Farmington, and Plymouth and Levan.

I have a really unfortunate story about last night.

I could tell it was going to be a problem right away, and honestly I regret not leaving. I heard using last names here is highly unpopular, so there was a player causing all sorts of problems last night. The least of the problems was that he was berating players every time he won a pot and taking sometimes minutes to act, because he was doing prop bets and socializing with other tables, yet was still being dealt in and his hand wasn't mucked even if he left the table mid hand.

This guy was doing cocaine at the table. Honestly, Idgaf about the coke. I don't personally do it, I don't care if you do, but if it disrupts the game it's a problem. It wasn't out of control, but he was adding time to his actions occasionally so that he could sniff the powder off his fingers. He announced several times that he had coke on him and was so happy to be doing it at the table....Floor did nothing. He took two players outside, sold them coke, the three of them came back 30 minutes later...Floor did nothing. The guy continued to cause a huge ruckus at the table, one of the guys he sold coke to warned him to try and be a little more under control, he says "watch this," calls floor over, calls floor a ***** (female dog if this gets censored,) and tells him he won't do anything....To my surprise floor does NOTHING. Thebartender had to be right around 21, no exaggeration everytime she brought him a drink he'd find an excuse to touch her breasts. First time she came over, she took his cup for a refill, he waited for her to bring it in to her chest, then he grabbed the straw and gave her right breast a quick feel and said "whoops, didn't mean to touch your boobs, they shouldn't just be there hahahaha." Every time after that he found a way to touch her breasts. The worst offense was when one time he blatantly just gave her breast a small backhand, even though he wasn't grabbing anything.

I have never been so disgusted in a poker game and that says a LOT, considering the trash that comes in here. I feel really guilty for not saying anything about what I consider to be sexual assault, but I honestly felt very intimidated by the guy, sad to say. I'm not the smallest guy, but I'm only 20, this guy is 53, and is not only jacked but has advanced training in fighting, and was even wearing a shirt that more or less said that. I know this guy laid a guy out at the room a few months back and nothing was done, so I was honestly afraid of saying something, getting knocked out, and having to go to the police because the room wouldn't do anything.

I don't know, maybe I'm a bad person for not doing anything. I've never been in a situation like this, and I'm not even an authority figure so I guess I felt out of line too trying to step in. I'm only 20, so charity rooms are my only venues, and sadly I'll be coming back because I love live hold em. I just felt like last night merited a warning about these two venues. Same floor and what not at both.

Side note about the same room - there's a guy that plays every single day session, has a VPIP of ~4%, no exaggeration, sits there all day and is beyond rude to the dealers and players. He has caused several dealers to quit. He hates every dealer and treats them with no respect, doing everything from throwing his cards at them to telling them they make $6hr, they're ugly, their family doesn't love them, etc. And the floorman (same one as last night) just stands there and laughs. He has never once disciplined or warned this player. Other floors will occasionally tell him to calm down but don't do anything further. Countless people have complained and people have stopped coming, but this player gets to stay. It's just a terrible environment all around. 21st birthday can't come soon enough.

Sounds similar to a charity room I used to reg (down to the pussy "floormen"), and sounds like other charity experiences I've heard.

I'd recommend trying to find a charity room in a better area, even if you have to drive an extra 20 min.

There have been numerous crime / violence stories at various charity locations in the state, at let's face it: These places aren't really that safe.

Just had to edit/delete a few posts. Sounds like you guys need another reminder about the privacy rules we have in this forum. Don't identify players/employees. This includes nicknames and descriptions. I just deleted an entire discussion last month about a certain player you were gossiping about. Not cool.

Sadly Livonia is a pretty damn good area, so I can't really solve this problem until I can go downtown in two months

Your long ass post is taking away from my hand post bro. ( kidding ). Try Krazy Kops at Vision Lanes.
Also : is the coke head a fish ?

I'm kind of surprised that the charity rooms don't get robbed more often than they do.

If the coke fiend was a big donator, most players are going to let a *LOT* of stuff go. Same with the floor people (especially if they're big tippers too). Although waitress grabbing is still usually off limits.

Lol. I would've 3x raised. Board isn't super wet but there's a fd and villains are usually pretty stationary. Flatting here is a mistake imo.

Yes, huge fish, deep pockets (obviously lol)

By the way in regards to vision, I like it, it just seems like every single time I go there they're sold out of chips or I'm added to a semi long wait list because they can't open another table.

But yeah, floor is a joke and a lot of people suck there as human beings. I'll most likely be there when you come, and I should stand out given there's hardly ever anyone under 40 there. Friday day games are super juicy, honestly probably better than the weekend night sessions if you're retired or have a flexible schedule that allows you to play during the day.

Kool. In regards to the hand : I called $ 11 early position flop bet. Button raised to sixty. Early position folded. I shoved a little over $200. Button snap calls with the flush draw and hits the turn. River bricks. GG.

The supremely toxic charity regs that I've known seem to show up with only $40 in their wallet. Their behavior gets tolerated because the "floor" is scared for their life.

He's a whale, but I'm with Doug Polk on this one...Idgaf if someone is a whale, if they're a pos person I don't wanna play with you regardless of how bad you are.

I'm not sitting in a Poker room to make friends. I'm sitting there to make money. So if there's a whale punting chips I'm fine letting him be an *******.

Other than the tit grabbing I've seen plenty worse in card rooms.

So funny you say that because I'm legit the only $200 reg, and I come with multiple buy ins.

The one super toxic reg that treats the dealers and everyone with zero respect is a multimillionaire that buys in for $100, never adds on, never plays a hand, and people leave because of him, dealers have quit because of him, he gets in an argument every 5 minutes lol it's a mother****ing joke. I love a few of the dealers and have a few really good friends there or I would never pay another dollar of rake at that circus...21 in a month and a half = first shot at 2/5 downtown and only go to Player's once a month or so when all of my buddies are there simultaneously 😃😃

I play at the one at 8 and Farmington with some regularity. Sometimes I'm there 3 days a week and then sometimes it'll be a week or two between visits depending upon my schedule (and because downtown is a good option for me as well).

Now I'll admit, I'm more of a daytime player than a night time player, but I have never once had an issue with anything described in this thread. Never seen open drug use at the table. Never seen anyone assault the waitress. The floor guys stop most of the bad stuff that's happening and I know the brothers that own the gaming operation would never allow for their staff to be sexually assaulted if they knew it was going on.

I've always had positive experiences playing over there

I have a feeling you're going to be very surprised (and unhappy) by what you see downtown if a short buying regular that complains about the dealers constantly even though he's a "multimillionaire" upsets you this much.

If you can, PM me some of the details about this. I'm good friends with the brothers who own the establishment and I know they'd want to hear about this. Not being able to name names in the thread makes it hard, but if you can PM me some more details I'll bring it up to Eric and I'll see what's going on. I'm sure he wouldn't want any of this happening and would look into things on the video tape (but probably needs to know soon because I doubt they keep their security video for more than a week or so).

Can't compare it to Detroit, but I've played at 1/2 - 2/5 in Mt Pleasant and Windsor and would say in my experience charity >>>>> casino, but I've heard downtown is crazy

Depends upon what game you want to play and what time of day you want to play. In general, I think 1/2 at the two Players charity rooms is a better game than 1/2 downtown most days.

But if you want to play 2/5 downtown is really the only option and night time 2/5 at MGM and even motorcity is going to be better action than 1/2 in the charity room.

Just my opinion.

Just splashin around in the kiddie pool. Got to MCC around 8:30 sat nite. 29 names on the 1/2 wait list. Asked the nice lady at the counter to put me on the list and she told me to get chips and take an open seat in the "other room". Walked up on a high hand in progress. Guy on my direct right wins $500 hi hand (quad 9's). Played all night mostly 6-7 handed. Only 1 loose player.
