They do start with 260, not 230, so a few extra get in there. I got a Seat 5, which I don't prefer but it will be one of the early break tables since it's in the 'cash area' of the room.
Not sure what color (it's not pink) my 3-bet shirt is and I do have my hat today! GL
Thanks for the updates on this. Please keep us updated on the final payouts and the structure.
I played in the monthly deep stack at soaring eagle ($240) yesterday and bubbled the final table. But, for what it’s worth they changed the structure on this and it seems much better. There were 88 players, play starts at 10:30am now, and it was down to the final table about 8 ours in to play. The blinds are a litttle higher in the beginning but level out and only go up every 30 minutes throughout the torunemant. The quarterly tournament, which is $350 I believe has the same structure and 10k additional starting chips.
I know everyone here hates soaring eagle but the new room is pretty sharp. It’s in the back of the casino, in a completely separate room with a door, so no smoke what so ever. Tables are also way nicer with USB chargers at each seat. They also have sandwiches, pizza (which was pretty solid) and a couple other snacks and soda station setup, similar to MCC. It still doesn’t seem like they are getting much traffic in the bravo poker app but I did not find the players in the tournament to be difficult at all. It is only 14 tables now so any tournament would be capped at 140 players. But, if you don’t mind the drive for a reasonable tournament once a quarter I think it’s worht it.
