How many chances do you get to play in such deep structures through out the year. Even the turbos are deep, might as well max out, specially when you’re running hot. After taxes and splitting with backers he might have made a million this summer with that cash.

I’d be surprised if he has any backers at this point. Probably sells some pieces or has swaps here and there, but nothing consistent.

I watched much of 9 hours, but didn't see the end, nor do I know who won. Does anybody know where I could watch the final table or if it replays anyplace without spoilers? I'm sure it's someplace online, but I don't want to go to the website only to have them broadcast the winner on their homepage while I'm trying to find the broadcast.

No, sort of brutal. A bunch of it was shown on PokerGo, but you can’t even watch the replay because ESPN has the rights.

Best answer I’ve heard is watch it on PokerGo using a VPN.

I DVR'd it on my PS Vue but I probably won't watch any of it. My google news feed spoilered me daily about the WSOP because of my typical chrome/work activity.

I wish ESPN would replay it, but I don't see it scheduled in the near (2 weeks out) future

Not sure if ESPN will package it like previous years and it will take a few months to put together ... thus the November Nine was born. Those episodes are basically trash to me now since they are cut up and you don't see the flow of previous hands affecting play. I don't even watch WPT shows anymore since they are all TV hands. GL

It doesn't take months to piece together a 2-3 hour version of the final table coverage. In previous years they did it in a week or two.

The whole deal with the November 9 is that they wanted to have 2 hours of "new" coverage every week like they used to do in about 2006, but they didn't want anyone to know who won. For example when Jamie Gold won it, we had already heard all the reports about the chop controversy with him before the weekly shows even started.

But that being said, I don't see a scheduled time for an edited replay anywhere yet. Last year it was posted in advance.

Gold’s final table was the first one to be streamed live with no hole cards. I remember falling asleep watching it, then waking up the next morning and they were still playing. I hosted a streaming party for the year Jerry Yang ran over the table.

The whole Nov 9 thing was to take advantage of the TV sweeps week in Nov. Poker was still huge ratings, they wanted to hype it up for ratings and ad dollars. It also gave players a chance to find patch dollars as well.

I’m sure someone has this years on a torrent site somewhere.

I've been waiting to see if anyone would say this, but since no one did, here goes . . .

I think that the coverage we got was a bad deal. You can get start to finish coverage of long sporting events like a marathon or the Olympics and you know what channel it's going to be on and when. What we got instead was coverage split between Twitch, PokerGo (for a fee) and different ESPN channels.

I don't know whose fault it was, but the Comcast Main Event Schedule on the screen was all messed up. It was a top to bottom list, the days were not in the right order and it was generally hard to figure out.

At one point I turned the TV on at the scheduled time and instead of The Main Event there was a basketball game. After six minutes there was an on-screen notice to switch to a different ESPN channel. If there was a chance that televised coverage might be delayed by basketball, we should have been told that well before the start of the game, and the start should have been delayed until we could watch it. Also, once the basketball game ran long, there was no reason to wait six minutes to tell us on which channel the Main Event was.

The Main Event was our Super Bowl, but it certainly wasn't treated that way.

Ok serious questions to anyone in Android:

How do you create a new post in a sub forum? I can't find any way to do it.

Are the first 1-2 posts on any given page of a thread buggy?

I am using the Android app and I don't know of any way to create a new thread or do anything but reply to an existing message. And yes the first couple posts and sometimes the last couple are blank. I tried to take a screenshot and insert it here but I don't know if that worked.

Auto Show moving from January to June. Is that better, worse or no difference for the Detroit poker rooms ?

Probably better.

I think it'll make the show bigger and more of a draw. The ability to walk outside in Hart Plaza sounds like a hell of a lot more fun than driving to Detroit in the middle of a January blizzard. So the more people you get downtown the more likely your are to get people checking out the casinos and bars and whatnot. I'd expect that Greektown would see the biggest bump, but who knows.

Fun day at MCC … High Hand fever for sure (and BBJ of course). Interesting how the PLO shifts to MGM in the evening. I saw two 5/10 PLO tables on Bravo last night when I checked out of MCC. Back today for more …

I believe the Supplier for a charity room near Waterford was at my table and he was talking to someone else and indicated that they were moving the room 'back' to a previous location … closer to Waterford? I was too far away from those seats and involved in hands during their conversation so I didn't ask for more details ..

Certainly the idea of traveling to Detroit in June would ring better for most, the opportunity for attendees to bring family (?) and go to other areas of the city would be more appealing .. zoo, Tigers .. I assume travel would cost more in June than January when most are locked into post-Christmas Break … GL

Been meaning to post an update in here... Played one of the $220 bounty tournaments at MGM a couple weeks back. Wow, what a terrible structure, at least early on. After one hour, starting stack had 15 bbs. Obviously people don't care, as there were over 110 players! Was not impressed w/ the floor/dealers either.

Yeah my friend made the final table of one of those last Sunday and they went from 116 to FT in 5 hours. Someone slap me if I’m paying more than $100 for that kind of structure. Can’t believe that many people are excited for it. Sadly I don’t see them changing it. Hopefully those kinds of numbers get them more interested in hosting larger events or dare I say...tours.

Dont forget that Firekeepers has their $500 this weekend. $30K ish for first.

Good second day at MCC also. Wasn't as busy as Tuesday but pretty good tables IMO.

Witnessed a 'classic' (standard) PLO hand. (Not in Detroit)
1) $9K in middle PF 3-ways
2) check, check, $3600, all-in, call, call on a 889 Flop
3) AA83 v AAQ7 v wrap/club flush ...
4) Turn T ... so the wrap hit
5) River K ... so the AAQ7 has Queen high spades ... HELLO $38K going from 3rd to 1st in runner runner fashion!! GL
