I think he’s a Toledo reg? Pretty sure I’ve played tournaments there with someone by that name.

EDIT: Scratch that. He’s a 2/5 reg at Motor City. Played with him a handful of times. Mid-late twenties, plays solid from what I’ve seen.

Looking for some advice for buying herb in another state... (Florida) I'm heading there for a business trip and need to get something, but they don't accept my medical card anywhere I've called. I'm sure there are several people here that have dealt with this, I'm hoping for some guidance!

Doesn't it just wash up on the beach in Miami?

Yep, aiming for the Monster Stack and maybe a couple others if that one doesn’t go well.

Why not just buy a few vape cartridges before you leave?

He's a little older than you think, but just because he has a younger looking face.

That being said, he's been in trouble already with MotorCity management (huge signs all over the casino about it being illegal to film or take pictures in the casino) for taping at the table. We'll see what happens going forward

Yeah I watched one of his videos and I think he said he’s been playing professionally for 12 years? That probably makes him early-mid thirties.

i cant believe he would keep filming after being warned. not worth losing your livelihood just for table action video when he can simply review his hands for youtube with graphics

Maybe it's an ego thing.

From the sounds of it, the biggest complaint from the Poker Room was you could see faces of other players and dealers in his videos. You can tell in the most recent vlog that he tried to avoid showing the other players at the table on camera.

Not sure why that's a big point, but I know that was a big concern from management.

I'll be interesting to see if he keeps it up or not. Brent doesn't have the most out-going personality for something like this. But, he's trying to start up a poker coaching/mentoring business...a way to put his poker knowledge and ability to use away from the poker tables. We'll see if that gets an traction from his vlogs.

yeah, most of the other vloggers make it a point to blur out opponent's and employee's faces unless it is something like at the westgate or a vloggers game where filming is explicitly allowed/expected.

I'm surprised by this. It's common in this thread to post pictures (aka "chip porn") when someone has a big stack in a tournament.

In most casinos, photos and videos at the table are against the house rules. 99.99% of the time, no one is going to say anything as it's for personal use or whatever (like texting friends pictures of something ridiculous or the people who like to take chip stack pictures when they're running well). When you start taking videos and posting them online for your own personal gain, then management is going to get involved if they know who you are. In this case, Brent is using the Motorcity Casino in videos that are really just advertising for his coaching business (plus entertainment for some of us that follow poker vlogs).

For what it's worth, I've also seen people stopped from taking pictures at MGM. In that instance, people were playing 3 Card Poker and a couple actors were in town to film a movie (probably 5 years ago or so). They asked the actors if they could take a picture with them and the floor stopped them and said, "No Pictures allowed in the casino." This was a harmless photo with a celebrity and wasn't even happening at the table, but the floor was right on it

Getting away from the vlog topic, it looks like Motorcity has had 5/10 NL running during the day (starting by 10 or 11 AM) all week with decent lists. I'll be curious to see if it runs consistently going forward as poker rooms seem to slow down come summer time as people in Michigan are out golfing or on their boats or whatever instead of playing poker. That being said, it's been full with a decent list all week, so that's a good sign going forward. It helps that 3-4 daytime regulars are pushing for it to go more often.

The talk today was maybe going to time-rake for the 5/10 game at $7 per half hour (the 5/10/20 game is $8 per half hour). This always leads to a big discussion as the nits don't want to pay time and the action players would always rather pay time. It'll be interesting to see what wins if the 5/10 game keeps going strong. Paying time would guarantee the house $126/hour. I guess it really just comes down to whether or not the casino believes they can deal 21 hands per hour at a hold 'em table (should be easy to achieve). In the 5/10 game, you're almost always getting max rake every hand (6 limpers or one raise with a call preflop guarantees a $60 pot), so if the poker room believes they can deal 21+ hands an hour, raking every pot is better for the casino. But, Tony is pretty good about working with the players to do what they prefer (especially since the 5/10 game will mostly be regulars), so we'll see what happens and who pushes harder the nits or the action players

haha, i take back what I said I earlier about him not needing table footage. once he stopped the table footage and started talking hands with his terrible graphics I quit watching. He needs to watch more neeme/vibes vlogs and upgrade his editing skills.

Saw that 5/10 going .. nice. 2/5 at MCC seems to have a nice flow to it, but at Fkeepers it can be mind numbingly slow with 'decisions'. I think from a business standpoint that a time charge at your higher limit games would be better both economically and keep the game going better.

It's MSPT week at FKeepers. I think all flights start at Noon Thur-Sat and it WILL HAVE over $1M in the prize pool. 630 PM Sattys all week (4PM Sunday), not sure about Turbos but they will start a SNG list if you want as well. Cash will be nuts for 3 nights as well. My chips will be up for grabs on Thursday as usual, perhaps 2 bullets if I bust before Level 4/5. GL

It seems like casinos are a pretty big target for lawsuits so maybe they are just trying to protect themselves from being sued by someone who alleges their likeness was used without their knowledge or consent.

I personally hate the idea of being filmed and put on YouTube so I'm glad when casinos don't allow photos/videos.
