I'll be back but probably not on a Friday night. I don't get much weekend poker opportunity and with school/dance starting up ... and I got roped into coaching soccer ... it will be MSPT @FK time before I know it. GL
They always hold table 10 on Fridays for the 5-10-20 game. NORMALLY, when the bad beat isn't so high, this isn't much of an issue. Sure, it means they start the outside room earlier because of it, but they've never had an issue of all 22 other tables being full by 6 PM and not being able to start another game just because they're holding the table for the 5-10-20 game.

Was that game running before the bad beat got so high or is it running because of the bad beat?

Anyone playing the Windsor Main Event this weekend? I played the last big tnry they had, which was a slightly smaller buyin being 500 CAD(with bounties) vs. this one, 750 CAD. I'm expecting it to be a similar field size of around 100 runners. Anyone expecting more or less than that, based on history?

It's been running for a while now (maybe 3 months?). There was a demand for a big no-limit game from some of the bigger players who didn't want to play 5-10 PLO as the biggest game in the casino. There's been a bit of renewed interest in bigger stakes no-limit hold 'em

Not sure. Also an upcoming Toledo Series, for which they have structure sheets /other info posted online! Hallelujah.

I've played in the 5-10-20 game a few times, and if you're in the "starting lineup" (I was), the game opens on Table 10 at 5pm. They clean up the rest of the list and start the must move probably around 5:45 or 6pm, since the main game usually takes about 10-15 minutes to start as everyone arrives and gets chips for their buy-in. Once that table is full and going, they get the must-move started next door. In the past there have been multiple must-move tables for this game.

There is a mix of players in the overall pool, but I have seen winning 2-5 players have no issue continuing to win at this stake. Very few elite NLHE pros are currently populating this game, though there is a contingent of players that are driving in from Toronto area to "pick off" the Detroit recs.

I have only played 1/2 NLHE before at four different venues. I'm usually playing in a tight aggressive game and sometimes tight passive. I occasionally am at loose aggressive games as well. Does anyone know what Caesar's tables are usually like?

I've never played 1/3, but from what I hear and assume, it's an almost identical game to 1/2.

The canadian dollar is worth about 75 cents. So it's still a $1/2 game.

Welcome to the forum ... sorry to say, you have opened a door for some sarcasm here ... and a little rookie hazing.

1) Are you sure you can cross the border? Passport or 'special' Driver's License

2) Do you request what kind of game to sit at or are these different venues just naturally these types of games? Plenty of folks here who would like the tables 'labeled' for them .. would make game selection much easier. If you can effectively adjust your play to all these tables then ... well done.

3) Typically 1/2 or 1/3 are the lowest stake made available at a room. Thus you get the 'minimum' player sitting at those tables. But just remember that if it's the only game running then you get 'everyone'. Typically the buy-in would be higher for 1/3 than 1/2 but I play in plenty of rooms where the BI for 1/2 is capped at $400.

Give us a trip report come Labor Day weekend .. GL

Sounds like you're trying to get me as far away from MCC as possible.

Don't worry boys, I'm headed to MCC to hit that BBJ today.

Small note to the FK MSPT schedule .. Thursday's ME will start at Noon, not 400 as previously. This opens up the door to an evening $250 Turbo Satty like they usually hold on Friday during the event.

Not sure this will increase the entries for the ME, but it will create additional cash opportunities Thursday evening with the earlier bustouts. GL

Not sure if it will help or hurt entries, but I appreciate it. Thursday was always the best day for me but I hated the late drive home since I usually have to work the following day.

Just stop bagging and leave early, duhhh. I honestly liked the 4pm start. It gave me a day I could grind the morning satty and the event therefore minimizing the number of days committed. I also feel like the Chicago (or similar distance) player pool liked the later start for the first day 1 for obvious reasons.

I haven't actually bagged MSPT FK in 3 years

We'll see. I'd actually expect the number to drop from the last stop. It's grown every time but it has to level off eventually right? I think the 4:00 start gave a lot of people an opportunity to play without taking work off so it'll probably drop back down to 200ish players. Still expect this stop to be somewhere below the May stop (low 1,000's?) but over 900.

Some big time firepower here at the MGM room expansion gala or whatever is. Dennis Phillips sitting 2/5 and Joe Cada just showed up to I guess take pictures. Fossilman is en route apparently. If Darvin Moon shows up I'll freak out.
