I'm sure the players are horrible, but how bad do they have to be to give you a significant edge at that rake/structure? Any of those worth playing for $ in addition to fun?

Nope, I tend to play $1/2 during the week and $2/5 on weekends. I usually only play late nights until about 3-4am because during the day its usually nitty regs. Best time to catch the fish at the $2/5 table is after 2am on the weekends. Best time to catch fish on the $1/2 is almost 24/7

2-7 is generally run as limit 3x draw and nl single draw, but I am sure that you knew that. Ill play single draw NL....

Hammond spreads a good 20 game. Supposedly there is a 20 mix game as well. I don't know for sure. I think that a 20 mix might be a tad high for me.

Does anyone in this thread besides Gambit like to play Stud 8? I made a NY resolution to start a stud 8 interest list any time I go play. Just wanted to see if there were any fans of the game out there.

If you play it mixed then the stakes need ti match up. Id be pretty pissed if I got stuck for 300 in P8 then it switches to 3-6 stud8. I think we played 5-10 buck ante 2 bring in. Id like to add a kill to the game.

I love stud8. The discussion came up on weds about it and I believe 3 other players plus myself have interest in playing it on occasion. I think all 3 will be at cada's on sat as well....maybe throw in a few rds of stud8? I'd be down for a regular rxr whether we played the o8 limit or pot limit.

I had a feeling that was you last night. I remember reading a post that you are tall and skinny. You had the puffy dark coat, right? When I seen you arrive I thought it might be you so I looked at the thread to see if you mentioned coming but when I looked back up you were gone.

Anyway, I got to MCC about 11:30 and notice really fast that my table was full of limp/callers. First few hands I seen 2 players get stacked off in hands that they shouldn't have even been calling preflop. It wasn't long before I'm in a pot. I'm the button, guy to my left bets $6 and 5 players call. I look down at AK and with $33 in the pot and 5 calling stations, I decide to 3-bet to $40...I get 2 callers. Flop is A-10-8 rainbow and guy donk bets $70 all in, other guy folds I call. He flips 10-8o and it holds. As I get up to top off my stack with another $100 I ask him, "is calling almost 40% of you're stack off with 10-8o standard?" He replies, "people think this game is skill but it's really all about luck" Lol.
Needless to say, he was broke within an hour.

Highlight of the night was being called a donkey after felting a guy for almost $300 Lol. He opened to $16 and got 2 callers I'm in the BB with 5d-4d and call. Flop is 2-6-7 rainbow, we all check. Turn is Ad and now I add a flush draw with my open ender. Original raiser bets $30 one guy folds and the other guy calls, I think about squeezing but decide to call instead. River is 8c for my straight. I check and he bets $45 the other guy tank/folds I reraise all in and with AK he snaps. He tosses his cards and says, "OMG what a donkey, how can you call with 54 man" Lol.
I had a bit over $600 and my new pledge was to leave when I reach a $300 profit but since I was there less than 2 hrs and my table was so bad, I decided to keep playing. I end up losing $200 of my $600 by 5am and finally leave. That's what I get for second guessing myself.

I still haven't decided if I will play the $250 at Snookers tomorrow. I don't like that the structure for the $250 tournament is the same structure as the $30 tournament...even with 30k chips, but I still might play it. How many in this thread will play it? Anyone interested in swapping 10% if I do play?

M is not a guarantee good time. Speaking of Wed game, I ran into The Friendly Bastard last Wed and bs with him. He wont be playing the Wed game anytime soon. More or less saying its no fun getting skinned alive by sharks. I prefer playing PO8, but I really think limit O8 is a better game. LO8 is a higher variance game which keeps fish on the line longer. PLO8 fish just get crushed hard and fast.
