That reminds me of Snookers heads up tournament where only 14 out of 16 had dealers and the other two tables had to deal for themselves. I would have been tilted if that was the case.
the floor pulls the dealer from your table (for the cash game) and replaces him with some guy who is working for one of the charities later that afternoon to deal the table.
I'm not sure, but I don't think this is legal. Pills can confirm.
Yeah, me too, and just keep my eye on the guy to make sure he doesn't f something up.
Omaha, you playing today? I was supposed to be working today but the boss ended up giving us the day off Happy to have another 4 day weekend. My lady and her brother are heading up north for the night so I'll be riding solo for the evening and planning on playing. I keep hearing about the stick friday tournaments with around 200 runners, can anyone confirm this? Considering checking this out.
Man, that's what I would like to do! I am taking my wife's grandma to Greektown instead as a Christmas treat. Anyway, sounds like you will have plenty of time to play guilt free. Enjoy!
All of my playing is guilt free ....ok, 95% of it That's cool, not sure if I'll make it downtown.... honestly, probably not, but if my night takes me there I'll drop a line here. Thinkin' I'm gonna hit up the 3kings 1:30 and see how that's looking and go from there.

i haven't played in a few months but yeah, the avg for the friday tourneys i played was 180. you can't sit back though, play aggressive because the blinds are ridiculous towards ~7 tables left. players are extremely passive though, and will blind down to like 3 bb's so it's good to be aggressive and gain dead chips.
Hey, guys, I was just checking the other regional community threads and by far we have the most active thread. The closest to us is the London thread and it has like 134 pages. We are way ahead of everyone by over 100 pages O.o! Nice job! I think Rapini would approve.
It is legal for players to deal tournament' but not cash games. Some times dealers dont show up, or are late for work. This puts us poker rom owners in a bind, so we do what ever we can do legal to keep the games running.

Funny, I just noticed this last night for some reason.

Yeah, about 95% sure I'm gonna hit up the stick. I'll try to put together a TR that doesn't suck. Oh, and 3Kings is closed til Monday.
@Frank...I left Cadas Room about 10:30 in 11th place. Blinds 2k/4k and I have 15BB guy UTG shoved 7BB and everyone folds to me, I know he's shoving light because the 4k BB is on him next so i call with AJ and he flips A4 and flops a 4 then very next hand I open shove 77 and get called by KQ but I lose. I was tilting so didn't stick around to play cash.
This evening they are showing the UFC fight. They are also running a $60 tournament at 7pm.
So today I check my DVR to see what poker shows have been recorded. Yes, I actually record all WSOP, WPT and even HPT episodes #pokerjunkie
Anyway, I see a new HPT episode so I play it even tho every HPT final table I have ever watched is full of the worst players EVER! One of the players does his interview saying how he's been playing with the guys for 2 days and knows their game, and boldly says, "I like my chances at this final table, I feel I'm the best player here." even tho he's average chip stack, I admire his confidence and can't wait to see him in action. Well, not even 5min later he raises A2 suited from mid position and gets 3bet by a player with K6o, who bets 50% of the "best player at the table" stack. Everyone folds back to "the best player at the table" and since he's OOP I fully expect him to either fold of shove, either being a standard play OOP with A2 suited depending on his read of this player. So the "best player at the table" decides to flat call half his stack off OOP with A2...WTF??? How do these guys make final tables? I really need to cancel further HPT recordings. HPT must stand for Horrible Player Tour.
LOL.
Agree that the play televised on HPT is horrendous at times. Not sure how they pick the hands to show, but they're not kind to the players lol. Sorry about your bust out last night. I lost $17 and felt like I won after a big come back. Good table though, lots of action.
Can't make it tonight. Have a date with a 93yo red head.
Slots are definitely -ev. However, I'm still considering becoming a Code Red specialist. That ****'s fun! Grandma has won a couple big ones to keep her near even. Comp city, baby!

I might be the only one who has posted in both the London and Detroit Threads. My single biggest Poker session was in London.
