On my way to Greektown. Does anyone know if I can still just swipe my card to park for free?
Last time I tried when they were charging they told me I didn't have enough play to qualify. That was in the fall though. If you've logged play in the last 6 months you'll probably be fine.

Yeah I was just there last week so I should be fine. Wasn't sure if they've changed their policy or not though.
Decided I would take advantage of vacation starting to go play a quick session before going home. Sat down at the perfect seat. No, Networth's favorite Korean wasn't at the table, but I did get to sit to the immediate left of the action at the table.
When I sat down, he was taking down a huge side pot while losing the main to an all in player with third pair. Apparently he had bluffed into the side pot, and everyone at the table was inhaling at the move.
He was not only a huge bluffer but also a huge calling station. Great combination in my book. Luckily I was able to get some chips from this guy before the rest of the table got to him, which is usually what happens. In our big pot I 3-bet him with AKo, bet 50 on the flop, he checked/called. Flush draw and straightdraw on the king high board. Turn brings a straight possibility if he had A3 or 36. He checked/called 100. Then a heart comes on the river and he auto bets 100, and I snap call to beat KQ.
Later I won another nice pot when I straddled on the button with T6 and hit two pair against a guy who slow played AA preflop. Cashed out up 375, went to the roulette table.
The grouchiest dealer in the world is running the roulette table I go to. When I get there she's telling a guy who just won 3 to 1, not to touch his winnings yet. I try to get $100, and she ignores me. So I put the bill on black, and announce 100 on black. She says not now in a chastising voice. Ok, I pull back my bill. Then she says, no more bets. This girl standing next to me says, watch it'll be black. Red 1!
I turn to that girl, smile and say, I guess that was lucky. She looks at me without smiling and says, yeah. What's up with this table? I get my black chip and put it on black. Black 24! Dealer puts a black chip next to mine, and when I go to take it, she yells, not yet! Wtf
Anyway, the vibe was so weird, I grabbed my money and took a dollar from my wallet and gave it to the dealer. She cracked a smile and said thank you. Maybe she hadn't been tipped all night. Who knows. I was happy to leave with extra money in my pocket for my trip.
So nothing really different with the charity rules but the only thing I wish they would change is the midnight curfew on the fourth day due to it carrying over into a fifth. They need to just dump that technicality already.
