Played in the TripKings 430 yesterday and did the exact same thing.... finished 7th out of ~50 and no $$.

and this also happened while I was there.... so annoying. It's not gossip hour, deal the ****in' cards.

i asked to move tables right away but it was horrible, there would be a bet and a call and he would have his head turned talking to the guy in the 10 seat. i don't usually mind when dealers talk but we were prolly playing 10-15 hands an hour at that pace

I know no one plays LHE anymore, but do they really spread 10-20, 15-30, and 20-40 regularly at MCC? I see it on their site. I thought they would just have 3-6.

$3/$6 LHE only runs at Greektown. MCC won't waste its, or anyone else's, time with that B.S.

MCC runs $15/$30 with a half kill on (I think) Tuesday and Saturday during the day. The $20/$40 with no kill, I believe, runs on Wednesday during the day. I may have the games that run on Tuesday and Wednesday switched. There is a list, populated by the people that played the previous week and anyone that calls since. Getting a seat once the game starts is very challenging as there is very little turnover in the players.

Call MCC and they'll give you all the details you need and put you on the list. Just showing up and hoping for a seat will not be in your best interests.

You should talk to the floor about these things. I know the guys that manage the room and they all take their job pretty seriously. I've had a discrete word with the floor on a number of occasions and my concerns were always taken care of.

i have said this once to the dealers. the more hands i play the better chances you get tipped more. usually they get the hint.

but i always try to be nice about it.

I hate when dealers are talking the whole time. If you cant keep the action going and know how much the pot is, find a different job imo

There is a particular female dealer at MCC (we're not allowed to say names right?) that drives me crazy with this stuff. She takes forever and talks to everyone during and between hands. Last time I played there, there was a heads-up pot and a player asked the other how much he had. She gave the answer before he finished counting his stack and then decided to correct herself 30 seconds later while the player was tanking. I was kinda shocked. I realized its probably +EV to take a break when she gets to the table cuz that would tilt me if she did that to me.

I will add though that she seems like a nice lady and is really friendly. She's just too intrusive as a dealer.

I should really read a poker book one of these days, it should help my game, no?

Anyone have a good list for low stakes cash games and tilt control? And for some of the guys that have played with me, any recomendations other then "just stop playing"

Been a while since I been on here. Looks like lots of cards are being played.
I finally checked out the Shark Club, not impressed at all. Got there on a Saturday around 6:00 and found one table with 5 players. Played for a bit, they did get a second table going, but thats when I left. I was expecting much better from what have heard for a while now. Poor equipment, not much of a room. Food was good, dealer was good.

Been to the river a couple of times, had a nice cash last week, two short tables going, and looked like a final tournament table. Left right after a player got upset at a dealer and started chasing him around and threating him, not a good scene. Poor dealer just gave him two cards, nothing else.
