Charity Gaming Rules Withdrawn
The Gaming Control Board has withdrawn a package of rules aimed at regulating charity poker games.

It was not clear Wednesday morning what changes would be made to the rules, but they were expected to be resubmitted to the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules in time for the committee to meet next week.

The rules had been derided by the charity community as an effort to put an end to the poker rooms that many use for fundraising.

Not to sound like a dick, but if you read this thread regularly, abbreviations such as MCC MGM and GT for our local casinos, SE for Soaring Eagle, NVD for Northville Downs, as well as FK for Firekeepers, are common. As of now, that is all I can think of.

Keep in mind that not everyone reading this thread is local. I have never heard of Northville Downs until today. I might have seen the abbreviation here, and just thought it was one of those inside things that the you Detroit area regulars talk about all the time, probably some supersecret reference to hot and loose women only known by a select few in this thread.
