Snookers is not being shut down. Rumors started by wanna be poker rooms.

Al, do you know this for sure? I think is fine for you to say Snookers is not closing, I mean I think most of us believe you, but why call other rooms wanna-be's?

Like i stated earlier I own 2 poker rooms, so i keep up with what the other poker room's are doing. Snooker's has license's issued for the next 60 days. That is as far out as the State of Mi. issue's license's. Any one can go to the state of Mi. web site and look under Charity pker rooom lacator.
Other Poker room's opening all wanna be like Snooker's. And why shouldnt they. (they are the best in Macomb Co.) I'm sure the new place will take a few player's from Snooker's, but i think 90% will stay.
I see the same thing happening around there that happen's in my Poker Room. New room owner's start showing up shaking everyone's hand and start talkin bout their room. Putting flier's on cars (allready happened at Snooker's). Allready been one place open around there for two weeks and closed. I wish Cada's luck, i just dont see it happening. They may get a table or two. I just dont see may people leaving snooker's

10 and 15 minute levels at HPT qualifiers?

The HPT do you or anyone else know if you win a multiple seats, can you take cash for them? Or do you have to hustle the day of to sell them on your own or stake horse a few people?

i don't think you understand that we don't really care about poker room rumors and gossip. it would be nice if people would stop posting stuff like you just posted.

I have never seen so many people get upset about nothing. if you don't want to read it skip it then. It is like someone bitching about the food at McDonalds but they keep going their to eat Mcdonalds food. Also i am not really picking on anyone person. just seems like there are way to many people bitching about nothing.

Also i would like to add. I think it would be awsome if other poker rooms took the amount of time and energy to make their rooms better as well. Listening to competent players always helps.

On another note. Has anyone got anything good or positve they want to share?

first off, lemme just say that i can't stand the bitching about the quarreling about the bitching about nothing. I mean come on.

I chopped the Friday tourney at NVD a couple weeks back with a couple old dogs. they offered me 650 on a 300-500-800. I kept a running rough estimate of what my stack would be worth in an equity chop since we got to 3 handed in case of this eventuality and figured if I could get 650 I'd stop the fight. so when one of the guys offered me 650 with a sob story about how late it is, including a capitulation to my complete dominance of the tournament, I figured these two were fine gentlemen, demanded an extra 25 dollars, and made the deal.

I also think we should all agree to a bbv-style threadsaver rule for all whines and brags ITT

Sure, I'll share... try to derail the room chatter.... I've played a few tournaments since last post and have been gettin' shutdown. I didn't feel like I played well but I played tonight and feel good about my play, even though I didn't cash. I made it to within 3 or 4 of the FT. It was the first in a few that I left missing the cash but still feeling good about my play.

3kings seems to be getting better as far as floor and dealers goes. Overall, I like the place. The atmosphere is nice, $1 beers (small drafts, but hey, it's a buck... $0.50 sometimes), most dealers are good and best of all for me, it's right down the road. I will say though, I wish they would bump up their tournament buy-ins. I've mentioned the unlimited rebuy Wednesdays before and I've been on the fence on whether or not I enjoy them. Plus side is people donk off a ton of chips, but I'm noticing now that you can barely get anyone to fold preflop. I know fish are good but 7xBB PF raises are regularly getting called by 4-6 players it seems. Tough to win like that. Doesn't help that it's so cheap to play. Starting to lose interest in the Wednesday tourn.

I've played the last couple Thursdays there and found that they are doing a pick-your-price buy-in. I'm cheap and buy in for the low but have usually been able to build a stack off the big buy-in players pretty quickly. I think the buy-in range is $20-$50 or $60. This is nice because there was actually over $1K in the pot with over $500 for first. Unfortunately I busted with AA with only two tables left.

Was supposed to be going to MCC tomorrow night but regret to report that isn't going to happen now..... oh well. I had fun playing tonight, and was happy with my play. Looking forward to next game.

I'm considering unretiring for one night only for this. I have played have played well over a thousands heads up sng's with pretty good results and been heads up at the end of sng's thousands of times more. It's never been the strong point of my game but I certainly consider myself to here much more experience HU than the vast majority of my possible opponents in this.

Just found out I'm going to be stuck at the airport tonight, what are the closest rooms to the Airport and are they open all night?

For an all-nighter I suggest Motor City Casino or Greektown. Some of the guys from the west side can comment, but I think Electric Stick is the closest room to the airport. Haven't been there but I heard that it was nice.
