Was at Northville downs Friday for a short session 4-6pm. I ran pretty hot, winning about $320 in 2 hours... Noticed a few competent players for once at my table, wondering if any of you guys were one of them? (I was the guy who sat down with top 2 and a set in the first orbit)

I actually talked to Don about this. He stated he didn't think that anyone from Cadas room said anything about this. He also said he has not heard anything from anyone from the state. He also said that ???(forgot his name former Owner of Rounders) Patrick i think??? was a pretty good guy and he was pretty sure he wouldn't do such a thing. I remember play/talking with him before and he seemed to be a pretty good guy.

Sorry if i jumped to conclusions. Or made it seem that you might of been involved in anyway.

Also on a side note Don was pretty adamant about giving us what we want for a deep stack slow tournament. We did however agree that antes with armature players would be confusing and slow the game down. I personally wouldn't mind making it a little profitable for him to have 1 or 2 tourneys a month with a great structure. He doesn't make any money from the tournaments so if he made money to pay the dealers and such. After all it is a buisness. He did say something about maybe starting it at noon so we could have 14 hours for the tournament. He asked if I (you guys) would like to come in and help him make a structure. I also think he is more willing to make a round by round for the people in this thread. I believe you guys wanted a 1-3 ? or something like that?

Let me know what you guys are interested in. or atleast come up there with me so we can make a good tournament.

At the final two tables with what i think was the chip lead I spewed 41bbs at the final two tables w AK like a moron against a Betty White look alike and got owned. In fairness i thought she had less chips. ( i initially thought she had 28k ish and she had 41k there.)
I then get my stack up to 81-85k at 500/1000 when i got lucky with KK>QQ allin preflop. Ended up winning another pot pushing me up to $136k.
I made the final table today with 136k in chips at 1500/3000. Ended up winning first hand and had $151k. I then made the dumbest call ever for half my stack preflop to a limp utg reraise all in.i somehow got the pot mixed up thinking i was getting 2-1. Also i made a bad read on that particular player. he ended up actually being good.

Ended up in 6th

antes with a competent dealer takes <10 seconds even when somebody doesn't see 8 other people tossing antes in the pot and ignores the dealer announcing for antes as the hand is shuffled.

Got a few good stories and nights but I am a horrible trip reporter, mostly a super degen who gambles way to much....

I admit its fun though, I don't sit around and wait for AA KK to play for push hands with...

So I check my comps today and I had 180 at MCC before my last trip report....

I now have 210 comp bucks at MCC....

I wanna lol at them for 30 bucks, I played 50-375 a hand for 3 hours on two hands and only won 1650- minus the 400 I lost at NVD's. Not very much money if you see my bet sizes!

Anyone know the math on MCC comps, or are they just stingy ass MoFoEr's if you happen to win against them?

I remember back in the day if you lost 500, you got a HJ under the table from a midget and a steak dinner for 2!!! What the hell is happening with these casino crapy comps? Last time I was in Vegas the I stayed at the Bellagio for 15 days at a player comp rate of 69.99 a night and 40 bucks for free food for playing poker only, now its 100.00 a night for a player rate plus taxes so 120.00, and you lose all you comp bucks to get that price i.e. no free food... Also the Bellagio kicks your dog when you lose, and bangs your wife if you ask for a food comp unless you play over 1k a hand!!! (kidding about the dog, and wife banging, but really they won't comp chit)

I seen a guy lose 5k in 20 minutes and ask for a comp, they said no your not rated long enough to determine a comp, I laughed my ass off and tossed him 2 quarters said dinner on me buddy because I was up 1500 or so, he threw them back at me and lol'd. Then pulled out 2 stacks of 100 hundred dollar bills and said **** you to the pit boss I'll buy my own dinner ass hole, and then looked at me and said wanna hit the tity bar its all on me!

I almost fell outta the chair because it was way to funny watching him belittle those cheap ****s at Bellagio, he grabbed my arm before I feel out the chair. I was like screw it lets go he got us a 40 buck limo ride to Spearmint Rhino, paid for me to get in and a ton of drinks and lap dances. Then dipped on me with a 100 buck tab sometime while I was getting a lap dance he paid for (it was 100 a dance or something). I am unsure what happened either he got booted or found a hooker to take him home that night, or the waitress ran a hussle on me for the 100, I paid it had a great time and got a taxi back to the hotel. I got into the lobby and I was way to drunk to find my room or think I could find it so I paid a bell boy to use his cart and wheel me to my room!!! All I remember is people laughing at me and tossing high fives while I sat in the middle of the cart as he pushed me through the casino to my room elevator I think security followed us to the elevator I am unsure but kinda remember that!!!

He got a 20 or a 50 for his for his help I was to hammered to remember, I passed out after he helped me into my room. Woke up and started the crazy cycle all over again!!!

I found a structure sheet for a $100 tournament at Caesars Palace (1-day event) that would be perfect for the Charity rooms Sunday tournament. This structure is designed to finish a tournament in 1-day (about 8hrs) but enough room to play "real poker" instead of the BB pot committing you on level 6 which is 500/1000

Yea, for the most part the competent dealers are always on the cash tables or on higher number of tournament tables. By the time you get down to five tables the good dealers (unless they pulled #1) have been moved to the cash tables.

then it sounds like they should take a few minutes and train their dealers properly, rather than running a PLHE structure in a NLHE tournament.

fwiw the ante-less structure was the tipping point on me deciding not to drive 45 mins out there this week. if i lived closer i'd play, or if they had a better structure i'd play. right now i'd rather play videogames and watch the game.

I'm not sure about tournaments, but I've heard they have decent tournaments and they don't look bad whenever I go there to play cash. I was going to go up there tonight to play cash, maybe check out any tournament going on. Probably aroun 7-8 or so.

No to playing at Electric sticks, and might play the NVD's 130 buying HU in Nov, I dunno it depends how many players they get signed up, and if they have 32 or more players, and also I think its called a BYE if they have a werid number some people get to sit out a round. I will play for sure if they do those things!!!
