edit: yes, there is a ton of water out there....

Been at this table for 3 orbits. Average players to the flop - 7. Lady across from me has about 600 in front of her, she's never folding a pair. I got 300 in front of me and I'm hoping to have her chips inside of my stack

No worries. We should probably get a spring meet up soon so we can all shoot the breeze and take over a local poker room for no reason.

Haven't read the thread, but I played with young looking guy named Barnes at Soaring Eagle once, and he was staying at the hotel for a few months and grinding the games there. He was pretty nitty that night though, and the old guys were all talking about how much money he had made the last few nights.

Could always try and get a license and hold off on opening a room, in hopes that someone else takes over for Kalm and things get better

Well, he was hella aggro like five years ago. Plus, even I settle down a bit when my roll is weak.

I think he's from Dearborn.

Not saying it was him for sure, but he definitely stood out, and everyone who had played with him the nights before seem to have it in for him.

1st was 1025 2nd 590 6th 285.

some hands/things from last night:

floor (Jared) was dealing to us at my 2nd table. he said something to the effect that Gio from the Stick has "a lot going on right now" insinuating that he is being investigated for insurance fraud.

hand # 6: i have A3dd in mp. no raise pf, 7 to the flop. 33A. sb leads, couple of other callers. turn jack is checked around. river king and third spade. beautiful. sb leads, another guy raises, i shove. sb calls, all others fold, he has A3 also. ****.
hand # 22: i have aces. bb is 200. i make it 900 after one limper. 4 to the flop. Q82. i bet 2200. one caller, then a raise to 12000. we all fold, he shows Q8.
hand # 94: my favorite hand, already posted it... i'm the bb w/ J5o. there is only one other player in the hand, early limper. i have 55k, bb is 6k. he has 200k maybe. flop QQ9 two hearts. i shove, he tank calls, show his hand, i'm ahead, well not really but hey! blank blank turn and river, nice double up.
hand#156, down to two tables. I have AQhh, i tank shove, no callers.
hand #157 I have AA, tank shove, called by KK, my hand holds. i have a lot of chips now.

at the final table, PJ's wife was down to 10k, one chip after a huge pot. she doubled up 3 straight hands and eventually had 270k. PJ was walking around the table watching, looking so giddy lol. she eventually lost, came it 8th.

hand # 226: 5 hands before my last hand. chip leader is on the button, folded to him. bb is 80k. he makes it 240k, i have something like 600k. i have A6 in the sb. i look at him, he looks shaky, i shove. back to him he instamucks..

last hand, i should have shoved. seems to be a recurring theme in my TRs!

read all the threads about completedonk last night while playing. can't believe how much $ people transfer/give to people in this community, to people they really don't know, that are very likely degenerate gamblers...

Hey all, I have about two hours to kill in Detroit this afternoon. Where can I get decent $1-2 action without much wait? I prefer a loose passive game
and, again, not much wait.

Thoughts? Also how long can you call ahead and dies it help.

I mostly play in what's left of the suburban charity games.

Thanks!

You can call ahead at any of the rooms. Most will give you an hour though some only 45. I haven't played downtown on the weekends so not sure about the rest.

I'll be at MCC during the afternoon: knit cap, tan coat, grey baseball hoodie. Give a sup bro if you're around.

Oh, also, tips on good food near/in MCC?

Either MCC or MGM will be the same on the weekend until later on.
