soaring eagle tourney TR: (skip to the end if you would like)

178 runners. first will pay somewhere around $10,000. supposedly it's the most they've had in one of their big tournaments since the summertime. there were a lot of people in the casino in general because of the KC AND JOJO/JOHNNY GILL/GINUINE concert!!!

hand #24: flop is A J 7. i have A10 in mp. sb leads the flop. me and one other call. turn blank. sb leads again for a 2/3 pottish bet. other guy folds. i call, only reason is this guy had already been caught bluffing twice. i figure he has a draw of some kind lots of times... river 10. he makes a healthy bet again, i call, he had J7, he berates me, whatever dude.
hand # 43: i'm in early pos w/ KK. i make it 1900, bb is 600. one guy calls. guy around the cutoff starts to count his chips, and he says to himself "four thousand, five thousand", he's counting his own chips. dealer says "what, you said 5 thousand, you have to make it 5 thousand." now i know this guy is getting a raw deal, floor is called over, and everyone, including me says that it shouldn't be a raise. floor is ready to side with the dealer, but we actually convince him to not make it a raise. (I would clearly be shoving when it comes back to me - i had about 16k back....) anyway, he folds. flop A 10 9. i lead, other guy folds...
hand # 91: i have K4o in the bb. first to act min raises from 800 to 1600. folds to me, i decide to defend. flop K 10 4. check check. turn a blank. i bet, she shoves, i call. she had K10!...... crippled me down to 5k.
hand # 93: two shoves in front of me, i have J10hh. great odds for me to call, i call, beat out AK and 55 by hitting two pair. back in it....
hand # 135: I have A7 on the button. blinds 800 1600. folded to me. i make it 4k. sb calls. flop 6 8 10 rainbow. he checks, i shove 25k, he folds. not sure why i included this hand, it was just one of many times i could have been knocked out...

hand # 187 (7 hours into the tournament): down to 24, top 16 get paid. i have about 85k. bb is 6k. i'm in the bb holding QQ. ep limper, button limper, sb limper. ep guy has about 150k before the hand. i make it 30k. ep guy instantly says allin. fold fold back to me. i thought about folding for a half sec and then realized this is more likely a move on his part, not believing i actually have a big hand. i had done some nice hesitating, posturing as I was raising, i think he thinks i don't have a big hand, he's making a move based on my making a move. i call. he shows A10cc. woot! flop is Q A A. turn deuce, he then calls for another deuce, and gets it. gg.

gotta say i played really well, had fun, just a terrible, terrible way to go out, especially since i would have been top 3 in chips if i had won that hand..... oh well.

Tough beat. Were their antes in this? With the 3 limpers I probably just ship the QQ instead but regardless it's all about how villains perceive you since some will think a ship means a weaker hand or a raise to 1/3rd your stack means you can actually fold when you shouldn't at that point.

If their were antes I'm always shipping but still pushing 85k to pickup the 3 people in plus you = 24k in the middle it's just too juicy to not jam in this spot for me instead of making a raise people either will think is super strong or for some reason think they should call you with Ax type stuff that might even just call a jam regardless.

Just my opinion anyway but as played the hand still is a tough beat no matter how you look at it.

Triple barreled with A6dd on 874dd board. 2x on turn and river was a 9. He called $140 on the river with J9dd.

Couple hands later I ship the river with a psb of $85 on a 4 straight board and get called by TPTK. (I had it)

Then raise to 17 ahead of 3 limpers with QQ. Sb/bb call and limpers fold. Flop is JT8. Sb bets 20 bb and I call. Turn is Q. Sb bets $30 bb and I call. River is a T. Sb bets 40, bb calls, I ship it for 180. Sb folds and bb calls with Kk.

Then get called on another triple barrel by new guy that I thought was on a FD. He had 4th pair.

Then this happened. All hands were AI on the flop.


KQ < K7 k98 flop. A8 < KQ AQ8 flop. 72 < Q6 on a 872 flop. AT < K7 on T72 flop.

Super Bowl Sunday home game. in Brownstown. i can't remember the guy texting me but he says we have played together.... $200 buyin tournament starts at 3 pm. 50 player max. pays 7 spots. pays out 100%. O8 and NL holdem cash games... not going to post the guy's number but if you are interested send me a pm.

I think I played OK for most of the day. Got tired near the end and donked off the last $150. All of the ai hands I lost were against 2 ss guys. I just kept them playing longer as they gave it away to other people playing badly.
