Legend's in Metamora.

Very soft room, but low traffic. I am probably the only long term winner that plays there regularly. Usually one juicy table on the weekends, starting as soon as the tourney starts busting down around 9pm.

No shufflers for the dealers, but they pitch two decks, playing one, riffing the other. Faster than shufflers.

Have you played at Northville Downs? I considered going there tonight but I'm still pissed off at FTP for keeping my funds in limbo that I'd probably play tilty/spewy if I even attempted. - It's been nearly 3 days and I haven't gotten a reply.

Anyways, Northville Downs is running a $150 Mega Stack MTT next Sunday that you can register on Thursday for $100. I'll probably register Thursday, play cash if there's a game, play cash Saturday, and then the MTT on Sunday.

Anybody play Greektown cash games lately? I heard they now run an optional Mississippi straddle(button straddle) in all their games. Just curious if anyone has been there lately and how the action is.

Haven't been to Greektown, but yes, all rooms seem to be doing the optional Mississippi straddle now. Was in about ~3-4 hands that this happened last night at Northville Downs, and also at Hazel Park.

I want to get to the 3 big casinos downtown (MGM, MC, Greek) but haven't had the chance yet.

Yes it's now available and in my experience has been made use of plenty.

Yeah. Mississippi Straddle is becoming more common. I hated it at first, but am now basically OK with it. Seems like the very most LAGgy players use it and love to raise light from it. Starts to become a pretty exploitable tendency.

What is the rake structure at 1/2 and 2/5 for each of the three rooms?

I believe they are all the same: 10% up to $6 + $1 for bad beat when the pot reaches $20.

Anyone know if there is a $20/$40 LHE or RxR running at MC still? Can't seem to rely on what the room tells you when you call.

I saw a guy ratholing yesterday at Greektown. He raise preflop, checked back Axx, called a turn bet and had $80-100 left. On the river, the other guy bet and the ratholer picked up his hands to show he had no more chips. He then flipped KK and left when the winner showed Ax. After the hand a few people said they saw that he had chips left on the turn. The winner of the hand said he saw him take them off the table. They were sitting right next to each other.

Villain was a well-built black guy in with tattoos covering his forearms and hands. He was wearing a flat brim standard blue Tigers (old english D) hat with the sticker still on top of the brim. He seemed to be pretty terrible at poker. Watch this guy if you are playing in Detroit.

MotorCity it is then, thanks! What about $100 tournaments? Any casino get any reasonable entries for a weekly tournament around that buyin?

Edit: Specifically the $225 at Greektown? And the monthly $340?

I spent a lot of time in two charity rooms and one casino over the past three days. The dealers at the charity rooms were not great, but they were worlds better than the dealers at the casino. Why is this allowed? These kids at the charity rooms work their butts off for $50 a day, and the dealers at casino make almost quadruple that and get 1/3rd of the hands out. So frustrating.

We have some very good dealers in the local charity room. And so many players do not tip, even after a big win.

Most players don't even know you can tip.

I haven't played at a charity room at a while, however I thought dealers couldn't accept tips at charity rooms. Did that change recently? If so I'm glad it did. Pretty silly that you couldn't tip

There was talk of dealer tips recently, but think it's been put on hold recently.
