Detroit - Page 1798 - Venues & Communities -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Played in the MSPT day 1B and got knocked out 11 hours in. Got up to 3x average stack about levels in, 70k or so, but could never get it past 110k or so max. No pp above JJ or AK in the 11 hours, had to grind for everything. Made one frustrated/tired play late that cost me my stack.

On a side note, been playing 2/5 at MGM lately as opposed to the 80% reg, nit fest at MCC. Still trying to figure out if it’s a better game or not. Seems to play bigger with more straddles. Time will tell.

Definitely a trend towards MGM from MCC as I look at Bravo. Depending on your 'true' goal game selection may be more important than location.

5/10 uncapped PLO is running at Gun Lake (south of GR) every Friday night that WSOPc/HPT is not running in Chicago. They usually have over 20 on the list and get started by 6-630. Call ahead for sure. Lots of these Players migrated from FKeepers for various reasons. Should be extra juicy this week as a Player is coming off his 30 day ban and HPT hits Chicago the week after. Yes, long drive with no hotels very close, but if that's within your bankroll ... GL

Don’t know. Checked on the room about 4 months ago. They had about 50 new chairs stacked up and 6 or so folded up poker tables. They were working on the ceiling and putting in doors and windows to separate the room from the bowling alley. Looked in last week and didn’t seem like anything else had been done. Looked like chairs were gone, room still in disarray. PokerAtlas phone number goes to somewhere in Walled Lake. No answer and no outgoing message.

Yea it’s really gone downhill. Not sure what happened to everyone. I’ve tried posting on here recently and no ones gives a rats ass. The only guy that writes anything is Answer20 who I am 30% sure just work in promotions for fire keepers.

No pay check from FK for me ... only 1099/W2Gs ... Unfortunately every time I mention this forum poker players just roll their eyes. So they know of it but choose to treat it like a thing of the past.

I spend most of my time at Gun Lake these days but FKeepers is doing their best to combat the presence of a very viable competitor. Lots of new promos to entice players to continue to make the drive. 'Lots' of their Dealers have moved to GLake which has allowed for a smooth transition.

I want to promote poker in general, the more wide spread the information the better choices Players can make that fits their game. GL

Jack Black was just at MGM playing 1/2. Got a picture of him playing, but didn’t bug him for a selfie. He got swarmed on the way by people wanting pictures.

nope. i dont do those either. my host offered me a kid rock concert ticket this last weekend, i turned it down because i have no interest in anything but blackjack or poker. didnt even think that maybe i couldve sold the ticket or knew it was worth well more than $100, i thought it would have little value. i guess its my autism which causes me to spend 100% of my time either playing BJ or poker cause it pays the bills.

I think he played for a few hours or so. He was at a table in the corner. I guess he introduced himself to the table and asked to keep a low profile.
