Anyone have any experience in the 2/5 at MGM? Does it play deeper with the $1k buy in now than does MCC?

It usually plays comparatively deep to Motor City’s game, I’ve usually had to sit in a must move game for a while before getting to it though, which had a few more short stackers.

1) Firekeepers Sunday $500 coming up in two weeks. Get there by 845 AM to make sure you don't get wait-listed.

2) 'Keepers cash has taken a hit from Gun Lake opening up. They also life-time banned 3-4 major PLO players a couple of weeks ago.

3) Don't forget that MSPT at FKeepers is next month with two sattys each Friday ($65) and Saturday ($65 then $250) ongoing.

4) The Gun Lake opening has been fairly smooth. (I've already moved up a Player's Club member level!!) There has been at least one 1/2 PLO game (or higher) every day. Players are coming from FKeepers and SEagle to check out the newest poker toy in Michigan .. and of course the charity rooms are really feeling the short term impact as well. There has been a 5/10 PLO game each weekend and it went 36 hours this past weekend.

There are a few 'pit' Dealers who are still getting used to poker and the Floor's have a hard time hearing the call for chips or seats open with the large opening to the main floor. YES, you did see CHIP RUNNERS (for now) in that previous sentence. You buy and redeem chips at the poker desk with plans for a cage if things go well long term.

I think the Floors (lots of them around) have their heads on straight and are all experienced. Tournaments haven't started yet but are coming. Had a good chat with what I think is the highest Boss and I think he was a late hire so he's still taking things one step at a time. GL

That's a great way to kill a game right there. MGM pulled the same **** with the $2/5 game they used to have all the time ~10 years ago. Banned 1-2 of the action guys and the whole game moved to MCC.

great question, and whats the rules on straddles? and i wish NO poker rooms had a cage. so much easier and nicer to have the floor sell them at the desk and u can rebuy at the table, than to constantly make people have to walk across the room, before they can sit, or when they bust out. more friendly too

Eh ... having a cage is really handy for large buy ins and big games.

Just let players rebuy at the table or have chip runners and you're fine.

They were banned for the classic 'drunk and disorderly' (cuffs and MSP involved) during which they (supposedly) let FK know how they 'really' felt about some of the Floors and rules of the room .. and what GLake would do to their business.

Straddles at FK are 'up to' 50% of your stack (so you can actually raise) but I've never seen a straddle over $100, and that was in a 1/2 game.

FK cage is nice, they just seem to take their breaks at the worst time ... and yes, it would be nice to have chip runners.

GLake is indicating that what FK is taking as 'rule' are only suggestions by the Feds, not guidelines. GLake is even letting Players swap lammers for chips until the runner comes back ... wow, what an easy way to do this that no one has thought of before!! GL
