I play at least 6.5 hours when I show up ... so no biggie to me ..

I think it warrants blocking the dump truck full of cash from getting back across the border though .. GL

I don't play during peak times but there was maybe 5-10 people on the 1/2 list at 1:30am Saturday but I just walked in and sat down at 2-5. When I left around 11am the lists were more in the 20 person range.

Lots of donkeys playing cash at FK tonight thanks to the MSPT.

Was short ($80) at 1/2. Guy UTG opened for $15. I had AKs so I just went all in and he called. Board was 44JA6 rainbow. He had K4o. He also slow rolled me.

/bad beat story

I played at a few other tables and people were donating everywhere.

Wish I had seen this yesterday. The 'owner' was at FK playing cash.

2/5 game was excellent .. saw DutchBoy on PLO as well. Wish I could just spend the whole weekend down there.

Tournament went down in flames at 600-1200 (Level 10?) with only about 12K left I limped SB 5-ways PF and c/shoved with a OESD and BD flush, got the flush card but .. no mas.

Was cruising along 20K up to 52K in Level 4 when I Gii PF KK v QQ for 28K .. Q on River and then basically card dead the rest of the time. They moved 3 previous FT players to our table at the same time ... didn't help.

They were having some computer issues but I think about 40 out of 250 advanced to Sunday ... Which I think they did OK with moving the start time up to 1200. Certainly LOTS more cash rake for Thursday. Cash was never shut down during the tournament, but I would think it will be the next 2 days for at least a few hours.

Maybe back on Sunday for some 2/5 but can't try again due to commitments .. GL

Reference only : K4o vs. AKs 22.6%. K4o vs. any two cards ( or a table napkin) 52.3%. #notamathguy
Pro Tip : anyone brave enough to go to MCC, call ahead. BBJ is somewhere north of 899K

I'm not astonished that his hand won. I'm astonished that he opened for $15 UTG with K4o and called off $65 more.

It was my second hand at that table, too. Being a rec player on a budget... I think it's back to the micros online for me for a while. lol

Looks like Reno's East is going through either a suspension or lost a charity (or two) booking until November. Don't want to read into this either way as there are a number of options.

Reno's West is still up and running ... GL

More news that I received from a reliable source yesterday ... The Reno's management pulled the plug on hosting the poker AT BOTH LOCATIONS when a patron got robbed in the parking lot at one of the locations.

Gaming has indicated that if the Supplier can find an alternate location that they will expedite approval so the charities that have current licenses can have a place to go.

Gaming also indicated that all was 'fine' at the old Jackson location ... before it wasn't. GL

Why is it so damn high? Did they tighten us the qualifiers?
Detroit Quote

Because they have that ******ed split between "Quads over Quads" and "Quads or better beat" (OR AAAKK beat, whatever). So it's a subset of what normal bad beat jackpot qualifiers.

Yes ... The AAAKK 'loser' payout should've been 10% of the main BBJ pot instead of whatever formula they have that feeds PLO, suit and both BBJ pots. The AAAKK hits often enough to keep the main BBJ more reasonable. GL

Well, that and the fact that if you have quads beat by a straight flush it should be in the same ****ing pool at quads beat by quads (and *only* quads).

So it is seriously quads beaten by quads only??

That is the stupidest rule I have ever heard of.

Oh your quads just got beat by a straight flush, but you don't get ****.

Load of crap. I hope that thing never hits

You get the smaller jackpot

If you want to find an idiotic poker rule, go to MCC.

Yea, Quads < Straight Flush does *NOT* win a share of the $900k jackpot. It gets a share of a $7k (yes, $7k) jackpot. Which might be smaller than the ****ing pot in a $2/5 game.

Whoever it is deserves to be curb stomped repeatedly.

Apparently the odds of getting a quad/quad are 1:312,664 hands according to the probability thread.
