How many players turned out for the last 5th Sunday at FK? What was the prizepool?

I probably have asked this before, but my memory stinks.

The last 5th Sunday at FK was their largest ever. Pretty sure it was over 400 runners and 1st place was close to $27K. Just make sure that you get there early (by 1115) or register early somehow. Very few wait list players got in before Level 5 or 6. They started with 26 or 28 tables and cash was shut down from 1145-530 or so. GL

Thanks, man.

You're correct about showing up early. I stopped in for a large tourney a few months back, but only slightly early. Longest line at the cage I've personally seen. By the time I got to the cashier, I would have been 10th or 12th on the waiting list. Played 2/5 instead and got stacked in a 3bet pot AA < 32o five minutes later. 8-) I flopped a set, too. /badbeatstory

Just an FYI for anyone planning to play this month, FK is listing the start time for their Fifth Sunday $400 as 10:00 AM on Bravo. Bumped it up a couple of hours to most likely accommodate more players.

Worst run out I've had in years at Motorcity today. Not the worst beat, but just awful run out. 45 vs KK on a 4410 board. Get it all in for 530 (he was the shorter stack so technically he's all in) on the flop and it goes running 10-10 and destroys my trip 4's

Where's the fun in that?? I was up big, called one time to crack the big old nit that never gets off his ipad and completely overvalues his big hands. I was ok calling 115 knowing that if I hit my hand I'm getting the next 500 in the middle.

This is not a typo ... Registration is also open right now and they will have the same 26 starting tables as last time. GL

So they had 260 players start and over 140 alternates got in? Wow that is a ton of alternates for a good structured tournament...

And very few of those were re-entries (1 allowed) due to most alternates not even getting into the tournament until Level 5+.

Where I screwed up last time is that I should've bought in early and just let my stack get blinded off since I knew I was going to be late. Still would've had more BB than my alternate seat and no wait once I arrived!

The one nice thing is that I told the table as soon as I sat down that it was the deepest I'd ever been in a tournament like this!! (not true, but funny) GL

It's a sad day guys with JD Martinez being traded for a few bums that we will be lucky if one makes it to the big leagues.

Yep, but the rebuild should've started a few years ago. However, I can't blame Mr. I for trying and I'm glad he did.

Looks like Motor has set up 6 new tables across from their outer room, amongst the slot machines. If you want to chase the BBJ surrounded by even more smoke, this weekend should be hopping

Yea. They had them last weekend when I was there. The shufflers were not working so it was really slow hand shuffling,Uncomfortable chairs, smoky and noisy. Took a while to be moved into main room as well.

Mcc needs to get the bbj hit, room went to crap. Floor is sloppy, dealers are tired and making small little mistakes over and over. Most dealers say they are working 45+ hours due to constant action. Played a few days ago and had a wait list at 3am for 1/2 still!!!

Played an 8 hr. session @MCC on Wednesday. Got there at 4:00 P.M. and was 19th on the $1/2 list ( no call in ). Seated in less than 1/2 hr. After 5:00 table played 6-8 handed most of the night. Dropped 1 BI.

On the positive: took bout's advice and played Momo's Sunday tournament instead of Vision. Only mistake was allowing table to talk me into agreeing to take $50 off of 1st to pay the bubble. Lost interest after that and took 3rd for $ two fiddy. Had 50-60 runners. $500 up top cut down to $450.

that's funny since I actually played the Sunday Vision tourney. Finished 11th. 77 vs A9 vs AA(short stack) aipf. Just needed to win the side pot. Ace on flop.

Momo's Sunday tourney is $25 BI. 1 million chips. Blinds start at 1000 / 2000 ( 500 bb ). $5 add on at first break for another million chips. 15 minute blinds. Wayne Bowl ( QoH II ) has a charity lined up and is scheduled to open Aug. 17th.

Wow 1 million chips?

That's totally better than a 25,000 chip tournament with 25/50 blinds to start.

I wonder who'll be the first charity to offer a 1 *Billion* chip tournament?

I agree. They also have some new people working the floor during the daytime and I feel like they're really unorganized. Our 2-5 game on Wednesday sat 7 handed while they still had a must move going. Dealer called open seats at least 4 times (and the floor even responded to them) but the seats were never filled. Hardly ever been a problem in the past, but having the must move game in the other room really kind of hurts their ability to keep things under control.

The dealers also seem run down a bit too. I talked to a couple part time dealers who now say they're working 6 days a week to help cover all the demand for dealers.

This, been playing in a private game/MGM and online, been a few months since I played mcc and always liked how things were ran there. So many new dealers and I always thought there dealers were the best around. Which I do still think but the gap has shrunk vastly.

Also annoyed I had such a long wait, it did affect the game a fair amount, nothing crazy but more open table talk, "no one fold pairs" type.
