95 South to 4 B and turn right. Go past the main entrance to Telegraph Road which is the first light past the entrance for the casino named Delaware Park Blvd. Again, go past the entrance about 1/4 mile or less to next light and turn left on Telegraph Road. Go 1/4 miles to stop sign and turn left (you will have to turn one way or the other) on Old Capital trail. Go 1/4 mile to the first light and turn left into the front lot. This is called the "kirkwood entrance" and accesses the casino though a tunnel. Park on the left side and it's only 50 to 100 yards into the front entrance which is very near the poker room. Or the casino has two other lots. the one you're parking in or another on the clubhouse side which enters through the paddock area. That's much closer to the poker room than that entrance off RT 4/7. After you turn on to Del Park Blvd, keep going past the casino to the clubhouse/paddock side. But, the closest physical entrance is "kirkwood"

Best way to really get it is to go to Googlemaps.com, type in "Stanton, de" and look close at the road map. You should be able to see what I mean by scrolling in for a close look. GPS's aren't much help to get as close as possible

Google or Yahoo search for Christiana Hospital. Coming from that entrance will get you access to the valet ($4) stands and quick walk inside/out.

So does the 4/8 game run all the time, or are most people playing 2/4 still?

I'm very curious how this is going to work out. I am hopeful 4/8 will become popular and people won't want to play 2/4, but am scared that 2/4 might even win out with a majority of players instead of 4/8, which would be tragic.

So I just checked the web site and it is reporting that as of 4:10pm on Nov 1, there are eight 1/2 NL games, two 2/5 NL games, and ... (wait for it) ... (wait for it) ... TWO 6/12 LHE games!!!

Really? That would be so cool!!! Is there anyone there in the room today that can confirm this? Is it really 6/12, or is the computer misreporting two 4/8 games (which would still be an improvement over the previous 3/6 LHE games that ran)?

When I was there Friday, the board listed 2/4, 4/8, and 8/16, so maybe people are requesting it?

My feeling is that as tournament players bust out, unless they keep opening new 2/4 tables, players will choose to play 4/8 instead of waiting for a seat to open. I hope.

6/12 LHE is awesome. What chips they using for the game?

I was under the impression they were spreading 2/4, 4/8, and 8/16 games, and that 6/12 was no longer going to be spread. I hope Anthony or one of those posters that are in the know can rectify this for us...

The one time I was there a few months back where we managed to get the game to go we used the $2 yellow chips.

I hope this sticks and they manage to at least get anything above 3/6 going regular. I dont make it up that much but if a regular 6/12 or 8/16 shows up I'd probably find some more time.

Either way, they deserve credit for trying.

Heard they got two tables of $4-8 LHE going today, at least one with plenty of three bets. Nice, can't wait until the weekend to check the $4-8 or hopefully give $8-16 a go. BTW, it ran with $1 and $5 chips.

Spent another couple of hours at Delaware Park late Sunday night/early Monday morning. Got there around 2 a.m. and was absolutely starving. The selection in the poker room is just awful. Awful. Couldn't find anything to eat. Not sure how the food tastes, but not much of a selection.

The grill just left of the poker room isn't bad. Sometimes there's a wait though. The snack shop downstairs is good for a quick bite (pizza or hot dog).

Fries to the left of poker room are awesome.
ALL the soups are amazing.
Sandwiches downstairs are all to die for.

To answer the questions about the live game report having 3-6 and 6-12 LHE posted, we have made the corrections to the report so that 2-4, 4-8, and 8-16 LHE are now posted. Sorry about any confussion.

The 8-16 game will be played with the yellow $2 chips

I went to DP yesterday to specifically play LHE. I was surprised that they had both a 2-4 and 4-8 game going since 2-4 is raked to 4.00 max and 4-8 is raked to 2.00 tops. I had a truly enjoyable time and quickly adjusted to the limit game which is where I cut my teeth and think maybe where I want to return. I got there at 4; 00 PM and true to their word, every six minutes between 4 and 5, they awarded a seat into the 7 PM tournament. I liked it, but didn't get one. Nice thing about a 2.00 max 4-8 raked game is the chips are not sliding off the table. My plan is to go for 8-16 this weekend which is also raked at 2.00 max. I enjoyed myself, but think I'd have more fun at 8 -16. They did bring out the 2.00 chips and I'll try to buy in for those if I can today.

A few things to note:

They award those seats between 8 to 9 AM (when few people are there. I will be tomorrow) and then 4 to 5 and again at 8 to 9. It’s a good deal.

Beginning 11/22 the 150.00 buy in will have a guarantee of $10,000 on Saturday.

Another nice thing about playing at DP early morning is that aces cracked is still worth 100 bucks until 10 AM. Like I said, I'm there tomorrow at 7:30 AM.

The new promotions are innovative. I’ll be also be there at 4 PM today on my way home from work in York PA. BTW, unlike the BBJ, I think you must be seated to win that freeroll ticket.

Like most low limit games, a few people were simply calling stations all the way to the river. If I can make it over this weekend, I'm shooting for 8-16. One or two guys straddling their button and cut off which helped build the pot. Mostly older crowed, but a couple of young guys too. Still, with a 2.00 max rake, you can be very patient in the game and still beat it. Biggest pot was about 175.00, for which my set was rivered to a gut shot. Still I like they guy calling all the way down there even though he 4 outed me. But, I was dodging anyway a flush draw too. Still they called raises that didn't make odd sense and that's got to be good in the long run. I'd call it soft, but not a lot of pre flop raises.
