They were running about 12 at noon. 14 to 15 when I left.

Was there for three hours, 11:00 to 2:00. May go back. Looks like they're keeping a table back for 5/10 NL. But, they did get a 6/12 limit off.

No news on the new tourney room until next week. I'm told that the presentation was made yesterday and the decision is to come down early next week. Always tomorrow with these corporations. I will say that I went upstairs to the third floor today to have a good look around. There is plenty of room to do anything they want and it seemed to be just over flow now, with a lot of people just sitting at round tables doing simulcast race betting. There is a bar and restaurant up there and door to outside. They would have to work pretty fast to get anything going in the next couple of weeks. If I was a betting man, I'd say no way they get anything like that up and running by middle of August. The space on the third floor is easily available as nothing productive seemed to be going on up there that couldn't just happen on the two floors below....obviously except for the restaurant. I don't think they are using that room as important space now, they might as well make some tournament cash on it.

I called in to check at 8 PM and there were 24 on the 1/2 list. I didn't make it over, but with that list, I could have put my name on it by phone, been there 45 mins later and been number one.

Heading up today to play some 3/6 or 6/12 if it gets going.

I have on a black tee shirt with the Silver Surfer on it. If you see me at your table, give me a "s'up bro".

was about the same when I got there at 5 p.m. Saturday.
much shorter wait since Harrah's in Chester opened.
p.s. if you call to put your name on list, which helps shorten the wait, they take it off after an hour, so you have to time the call right.

The $5 dealer tip is not mandatory.

People can ask to not pay it, but with it they will only get 3000 chips instead of 5000.

Didn't know that, but I like the idea of it being mandatory. For some reason tournament winners too often screw the dealer, who makes almost nothing for dealing a tournament. I guess everyone assumes the 2000 is worth the 5. I'd hate to play that tournament starting with 3000.

Anyone know the structure of the tournament? Rebuys/add ons? Any info would be appreciated.

Also, do you pay a time rake for cash games here?

I'm looking at coming there this week, any info is appreciated.

Delaware Park has the bet rake structure outside of Atlantic City. Rake is 10%to 40.00 with a max rake of 4.00. They do have a 1.00 BBJ which does not happen until the pot reaches 20.00. The dealers have grown to very good (mostly), so hands per hour is pretty decent.

Since Harrah's Chester opened, lines have gone away generally during the week, but if you're going to play cash, you can call up to one hour ahead at 302-355-1050. After an hour, your name drops out, so timing is everything.

The tournament is 5000 chips to start for 65.00 at starts at 10 AM during the week days only right now with antes starting at 25 at level four. I've seen as few as 45 in the tournament, but Friday they had 110.

Has there been any discussions about a weekend tournament or are they waiting until they expand their room to start those?

The plan, as it been told to me, is to run three a day, including weekends. I was told they wanted to start that around now. But, no way to do anything like weekends until they get the OK to expand the room. Hopefully, we'll know more this week, but was told that last week too.

I played some 3/6 LHE yesterday. I lost with AA, AK, AQ (twice), and AJ (twice), while winning with AK once. That was it for my premium hands. Oh well, that will happen at 3/6. If I had hit any of them, I would have gotten paid off big time - it just didn't happen this time.

I was mentioning how much I like the DP Poker room, and that once they add in the glass between the poker room and slots, it will really be awesome. When I mentioned that, the dealer told me that it was already supposed to be done, but the glass is on back-order.

We did have a shuffler that put a mark on a card (which happened twice), so we had to play with one deck for a while. That was really slow. The machine takes a while to shuffle a deck, and the new dealers aren't very experienced at shuffling by hand. Apparently, for security reasons, only one poker room manager has the key to the room where the replacement cards are kept.

Was there today.

Dealers are starting to tell people that the tournament room is a GO, and the target date is supposedly September 30th. The full tourney schedule is still being worked on.

I was also there today and here's the good and bad of what they said about the new tournament/high limit room. They said they got a tentative "go" and that the tentative date for completion is September 17. The new room will not be up on the third floor, but instead will be on the second floor where the present upstairs simulcast area is. It's really a great idea, because that's also where football parley bets can be placed now. I'm not sure what they'll do with all the wall TV's up there, but last year, they had every NFL game on them through out every Sunday. Of course the room may be towards the present back on the paddock side of the track where nothing much goes on now expcet televised simulcast. So, the bad news is that it's still six weeks off. The good news is that it's "tentatively" approved and they will be big enough with 45 total tables for circuit events and three a days tournaments even on the weekends. You heard September 30 and I heard the 17th. Let's hope I've got it right.

No idea. My assumption (and that's all it is), is that they will have a number of different type's of torunaments, including rebuys. Presently, there is no add on's or rebuy's in their 10 AM daily. Obviously, they'll do different things on the weekends when this 25 table epanded room opens up. My understanding is that they'll run a 10 AM, 7 PM and midnight every day with different buy ins and structure. I've heard talk of a double stack too.

Really? When I saw that they had tourneys at 10 AM I called DP and they told me that if a player busts out during the first hour they can buy back in. (Since they accept registration until 11 AM). I did not go and play because I do not like rebuys, but if you are saying this is not the case, then I may try one.

That may be. I'm not sure. What I can tell you is that the two times I played it, I didn't see anyone do that nor talk about it. Therefore, it didn't play like a typical rebuy.

Is 5/10 the biggest NL game anyone has seen spread at DP? I am wondering if a 10/25 NL big game ever gets going on weekends or anything.
