I don't knoe the exact number but based on what I saw in the room my guess would be between 35 and 50 or so.

Was playing the NLHE 30k starting stack event at the time. That drew 136.

Plus there were cash games going on. Poker room was humming quite nicely for a few hours.

This past Saturday, the 9 am satellite for the noon NLHE $150 buy-in deep stack tourney was going to award 13 seats (89 started). There were still 15 players left at about 11:55. Not sure how it was resolved.

They played it till 13 players were left?
... What else would they do?

They don't guarantee that it will be over by 12. On the Saturday where the stack is 30K for the main event, and the satellite is $30, they give 15 minute levels (instead of 12) to give people a better chance to actually PLAY for the seats. As opposed to just shove/folding constantly.

Personally I think this is a good idea.

Above post is correct. Before going to the 12 minute levels, it was common for the satty to finish after the first break on the main.

I'm thinking of playing tomorrow's (Thursday, 12/12) 12 PM Bounty tournament. How many runners do they normally get for this tourney?

35-65 depending on the day.
Lots of the regs will join if if it gets over 40 so that sort of a tipping point.
32-35 and it just sort of sits there.
40+ normally goes up to 50-60 pretty quick as people rebuy with the higher prize pool.

In general I'd assume 40 people though.

Report for the Omaha tornument.
Weather kept the turnout to 30 hardcore players.
Most of the day had only 10 bb, then got lucky rivered nut nut for a scoop. From all in to 60,000.Then another big pot full house over full house.
After an annoying and protracted negoation we chopped @ 9pm
Approx 5 ways even.
Hop we have a better turnout for the HORSE.
Happy holidays

I might be coming down to Del Park for the first time since the Classic and was wondering what the bag situation is. Does the security currently allow you to bring a small shoulder bag along those lines (http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/itemdetails/57Y4309/460)?
It fits the size/volume requirements in Chester, but was wondering if it would pass in Del Park.

(Completely off topic) but do dealers here pool their tips together?

Dealers only pool their tips in tournaments. Had a situation a few weeks ago where a guy wanted to give a dealer in the Saturday noon event $20 because he won a big hand. Dealer didn't want to take it because it'd have to go into the pool.

Damn...had to drive to Massachusetts to find out my GF's uncle was at the bad beat table. LOL! Paid out 16K just for sitting there. I guess that regular game had only recently started to pay into the BBJ.

I played in the Crazy Pineapple $65 buy in today. There were 66 entries (including re-entries) and ended up in the final five who chopped. It was the first time I played Crazy Pineapple and I'm glad Delaware Park is offering these non-holdem tournaments on Saturdays.

Looking at the flyer for Event 1....I can't believe they're gonna let people re-enter until level 12!! That's six hours! Just seems ridiculous.

Can't see anyone doing that due to stack size vs blinds. Less than 15 BB to start considering antes. Almost shove any face card. And that's assuming a fresh stack which you can't. It could be a re-entry with blinded down chips. Who's going to waste that entry fee? The guarantee is only 30K, and it would be a long shot to finish ITM entering that short. Therefore, it's a bigger prize pool if someone is that flush to enter at 12.

They do this for a good number of their events during their "Classic" series.
I mean if people want to buy in late, it's up them. It's stupid for the person to do it, but hey, if they don't like having a chance to accumulate chips, more power to them.

Also, this can help to push the prize pool up. It gives people a chance to donk out early in the first 2-3 hours (hopefully a few times so they keep juicing with their bad play) and rebuy a few times. Who doesn't want the same crappy person to rebuy 3-4 times?

I thought for the last classic it was 9 levels, for most of the tournaments, but I may just be mis remembering. Either way, good luck people.

I think I'm playing in every event other than the hang over special on Wednesday.

Can't see them cancelling a satty unless DE closes the roads. With the winter storm coming in tonight its a crap shoot on guessing the runners. Worse case probably 35-40. If weather is not a factor, I expect 80 or more. I plan on playig the 7:00. See you there.
