Not enough waitresses.
Another lady complaining about the seat not going up high enough.
80 year old farmer not sure what to bet (3-6), even after 2 1/2 hours of play.
Plenty of tvs. Nice flat area against the padding to stack your chips.
They seemed to fill open seats pretty quick.
The table had a foot rail, but the rail is too high to sit comfortably.
No tote machine for horse bets, yet DP and Philly park was on a couple of screens.
Nice room. 20 minute drive for me. So long AC!!!!!!
I was definitely at your table with that old man. I was two seats to his left from about 2:30 - 6:30.

I see some postings that there is some interest in a 3-6 Horse on Thursday nights....any interest in a mixed game that includes Ace-Five, Deuce to Seven and such?

I went to Del Park today (Tue) from about 2:30-5:30. Waited about 10 mins to get on a 3/6 table. Typical low limit stuff: loose-passive multi-way pots. People not raising pre with AK then whining that they got run down by 89 or something. People played loose but scared; I'm no LAG, but I probably raised PF as much as my entire table combined. People just calling down with KK, QQ, AK. Good pot odds on most hands; I'd be down half my stack and 1 pot would get me healthy. The dealers were fine, some a little slow, but no mistakes that I saw. 5 1/2 NL table and 3 3/6 tables going pretty much the whole time. The lists never got longer than 3-4 names, but there were lots of dealers on hand to start new tables.

The room manager, Anthony, stopped by the table to introduce himself. He said 3/6, 6/12, 10/20, and 20/40 for limit games. but he also mentioned 5/10 for 7 stud so I was a little confused. HOSE is either 3/6 or 6/12 but it sounds like they'll do a 4/8 if the whole table agrees. Stud rounds in a 3/6 mixed will be $1 antes and bring-ins. Seemed like a decent guy. I think he's spreading the low limit games too far apart. 2/4, 4/8, and 6/12 would be a better spread, IMO, but we'll see. Games go from rake to time at 20/40 for limit and 5/10NL if I heard right. That means a raked 10/20 game, which I like better even though mine is the minority view.

The plans sound very grand; all kinds of limits all the time. I appreciate the ambition, but after a short time, I'm sure things will settle into a rut like the AC poker rooms. I really don't think I'm going to see a PLO game or a two way Chinese poker/badugi on a regular basis. My opinion, after 6 months to a year the regular line-up will be: 3/6 LHE, with 6/12 and 10/20 going mostly weekends. 1 5/10 7stud stand-by for the fossils (and fossils at heart like me) and a sporadic breakout of PLO, O8, 2 ways, and mixed games. All in all, I'm excited that I have a real, legal poker room 10 minutes away with a management staff that seems to actually care about running a poker room. Now if we can just rope them into posting in B&M and giving game reports like Stan at Borgata does.

Ok, so just to make double sure... on Friday night, it'll be open 24/7 from that point onwards?

If I get bored at 4am, I want a place to go if I wanna play cards.

Definitely agree. Now that two rooms are running it's already getting confusing and once Dover opens it'll be even worse.

There's an app with the Bravo system that spits out reports like Stan does for the Borgata. I don't know if it's set-up, but I do know it's there and will be available in the near future.

I don't think they would spread it this Thursday since it's still the soft opening, and the Thursday after that I will be in Vegas, so my first one will be on July 1.
definitely interested as well

I third the motion. I was initially for keeping all three rooms in one thread so that there was a semi-active thread and not end up like some of the Atlantic City poker room threads where there is one post a week. However, now I can see how is confusing to some. I went ahead and created threads for Dover Downs and Harrington (if I get banned for doing it, so be it), and I will try to post in them later this evening after work.

I am going to make the trek out to Delaware Park tomorrow evening with the wife. I just graduated Harrah's Dealer's Academy in Chester and we are setting up for our mid July mock opening ourselves so it will be an educational experience.

Yeah sorry I meant to say next Thursday, hopefully we can still get together if there is enough interest without you, but defininely July 1st if not. All those interested please email me at secooper1987@gmail so that I can put together an email list to coordinate a little better.

FlyingSpaghetti: Can't really do Saturday, plus i'd imagine with it being opening weekend they might not have a table\dealer to spare.

Drove by tonight, and the sign said "Live Table Games Test Run 6/14 - 6/17 2PM - 10PM"

My guess is they are open all day on Friday, but you should call to make sure.

Trust me. You will continue to get carded. Early and Often. The State of Delaware has made the under age gambling issue a major deal for all the Casinos. So, keep your license handy my man...

Any new trip reports?

I wanted to get to DP today, but couldn't. I'm interested in knowing if they're using any of the "B" team dealers yet and if so, how that's going. Of course by the weekend, they'll have the entire crew out and the A team will be exhausted if they're not being spelled somehow pre grand opening.

Nobody has an answer what time they open on Friday yet.

Also, has anyone been over to the Delaware Sports lounge since DP went live?

I have to admit, I'm really excited that we finally have a local secure room and I hope that it ends up being everyhting that we all want with diversity of games and limits. Sounds really good so far.

Also, come football season, Saturdays and Sundays will rock. A little cards... a little horse racing......a little football. It's good to be American. Screw all that yard work.
