It's still a well run poker room, but the rake is too damn high.
It's pretty similar to the other rooms in the philly area. Sugarhouse is the same and Harrah's it planning to up it soon. When I started playing it was 4+2 and a few months later they made it 5+1 which was the same as Harrah's Chester, Sugarhouse, and Parx. I suspect the reason for the change to 5+2 is because they couldn't compete with other casinos when it game to high hands since even before then they had fewer cash games. It's hard to get the high hand chasers with a $100 high hand when the other casinos are offering $300 or 500 even if in reality it's much easier to win at dp cause of fewer players. Also if they cut the other promotions like the freeroll tournament and slot dollars cold turkey they would piss off a lot of old customers so this probably was the only option.
It seemed to be working but for some reason they decided to do some barrel drawing thing which no one gives a **** about this month instead of a $500 high hand and that's why it's been dead this month.
