Can any PLO regular comment on the frequency of the 1-2 PLO games? I haven't been checking Bravo recently, but in February, it only seemed to run on occasion (random nights, but even weekend nights were not steady; for example, sometimes game would break early by 7pm on a Friday night).

It was running daily from 2 - 10 ish, then is started to taper off again. Normally takes only 3 or 4 playing a few hands for a table to fill up any day of the week though.

People hate moving in fear the game won't start, but once cards are in the air it fills quickly.

Played there last weekend for the first time in a couple years. I noticed the rake has gone from $4+1 all the way up to $5+2! That's criminal. No wonder the room was practically dead (3-4 tables of only 1/2 NL going) at midnight on a Saturday night. How long ago did they up the rake from $4+1?

It's still a well run poker room, but the rake is too damn high.

My guess is around the same time their competition raised their rake (e.g., Horseshoe Baltimore).

I usually go on weekdays and I would say it runs most days. If you see it on the bravo running it usually runs for a long time but you can always call them and see how many people are in the game.

It's pretty similar to the other rooms in the philly area. Sugarhouse is the same and Harrah's it planning to up it soon. When I started playing it was 4+2 and a few months later they made it 5+1 which was the same as Harrah's Chester, Sugarhouse, and Parx. I suspect the reason for the change to 5+2 is because they couldn't compete with other casinos when it game to high hands since even before then they had fewer cash games. It's hard to get the high hand chasers with a $100 high hand when the other casinos are offering $300 or 500 even if in reality it's much easier to win at dp cause of fewer players. Also if they cut the other promotions like the freeroll tournament and slot dollars cold turkey they would piss off a lot of old customers so this probably was the only option.

It seemed to be working but for some reason they decided to do some barrel drawing thing which no one gives a **** about this month instead of a $500 high hand and that's why it's been dead this month.

Gotta be honest, the June schedule looks terrible.

The game died, and only sporadically runs when a few of the reg's happen to be in the room at the same time. I saw the 1-2 PLO run once this month, and even than the game broke pretty quickly. If you want PLO at Delaware Park, you have to play 5-5.

Sorry about my delayed responses, but I wanted to thank you both for your responses. I haven't been to DP to play PLO in a while; rather, I head to MD Live, but that game mainly is only 5 card PLO now (for low stakes).

So; when do people think Delaware Park will start taking sport bets?

They've taken NFL parlay bets for as long as I can remember. I haven't heard anything about them expanding their offerings.

Yeah, I have placed some parlay bets there. They also do NFL future bets (during the season; can't place one now), which I did not know.

But yeah, I meant a full sports book; just curious if any regulars had hear rumors about a date.

Coincidentally, several hours after my post, ESPN published an article saying Delaware may even beat NJ to the punch; so to speak, in getting the sports books running.

Looks like sports betting starts Tuesday and Delaware park, Harrington, and Dover.

went to delaware for first time in like a year yesterday

played in a $50 1k guarantee at noon

only 14 runners we chopped 4 ways

but it's nice to see that they still honor guarantees and run a good tournament. 4 hours and we chopped, lots of value for 50 bucks

sportsbetting was pretty cool. they offered everything, had sheets with win totals for nfl, had self service betting machines along with windows

there is talk they may move the sports betting upstairs to the poker room and the poker room downstairs, but want to see how it goes when nfl starts.

Nice to see the 2/5 NL game running again with some regularity. I've been tracking Bravo the past few weeks and they have 2 games every Wednesday (probably because of the free rake promo from 4-8 pm) and there were games on both Friday and Saturday this past weekend.

There's also a game running right now, on a Monday afternoon!

Plus, I heard it's time game rather than a raked game which is better for the players.

I would imagine it should become a regular game again in the next few weeks with Football Season starting and Sports Betting in full swing.

I went to Delaware Park this past Friday around 6pm to place some bets, and the betting windows on the third floor were closed. The betting windows on the first floor were not fully staffed; about 2-3 stations were closed even though there was a long line of people waiting to bet. It was probably 6:30 at this point, and I hope some people trying to get 7pm MLB bets places were able to do so.

The automated betting machines only take a max of $50 per wager, but there are machines located on the first and third floors.

I only had $600 left after placing a bunch of future bets across multiple sports, and I decided to sit down at the 5-5 PLO game since No Limit is so damn boring sometimes. I didnt know it was 5-5 with a $10 rock. Min is $500 and max is $2500. Everyone at the table was a regular and friendly/chatty among. I didn't win or lose a significant amount and only played for a couple of hours to kill time before I had to leave, but I would definitely be back; the game seems fun.

That 5/5 game is gold. I used to play it every day before I moved down to the DC area. I miss that game so much though.

Thanks for the input; the game did seem good. Since you miss it, I assume it is softer than the PLO at MGM?

No comparison, DP is better. I wouldn't be surprised if a certain player drops upwards of $500K a year in that game. Even without that certain player, it's a good game.

Thanks for the info, and good luck at MGM!

Playef at DP for the first time in a long time Super Bowl Sunday. Played 2/5 for a couple of hours and the game was generally passive. However, came back later that evening and played 1/2 in a game that was outer-worldly good. The dealers were good, friendly and kept the game moving well. The floors also did a good job diffusing a couple of people. Made me miss when this room was thriving and having larger tourneys (in size/buyin)

Haven't been in quite awhile.

Are they 9-handed or 10 at the tables? 1-2 or 2-5? Tournaments?

Thanks in advance.
