Really would be better to provide a structure sheet for tournaments than to get into silly details like "Players will bag their chips in a clear, sealed bag. The sealed bag will be given back to the player prior to the start of Day 2."
they used to have it on there - blinds go up every 40 minutes, BB ante, i have played in it 3 times now and the structure is pretty good (better than Turning Stones 50k's)

Headed this direction later next week, might stop in and see some hands.

What's the smoking situation? Casino? Poker Room?
Trying to avoid, not partake.
TIA

NYS has a workplace smoking ban, so that should be in effect. Especially since del Lago is not a Native American casino.

Hmmm. In Auburn and then Rochester 4th of July week for some wife’s family stuff. Hoping to make it out. Usually trek over to TS but this looks promising and a much shorter drive. Prefer limit but sounds like that is unlikely so NL it is. Getting better at it, just not willing to rebuy generally.

I just saw this pop up on my Bravo App and had never heard of it before. I'm thinking of heading there one of these weekends, but had some questions.

What's the min/max on the 1/3 game?
How many tables?
What are the drink and food options in the room? Free alcohol?
Do you all offer a poker room rate in the hotel?

Thanks

I think the min on 1/3 is $60. The max is the biggest stack, which , at times, makes the game play a lot bigger.

Somewhere around 15 tables or so. Never been there on a weekend, but most weekday nights have 4 tables going. Atleast when I've been there. Exception is Thursday nights. They have a $ 130 tourney that fills the place up.

Drinks are not free, but it's fairly easy to move up a tier where beer and wine are comped. If not, usually someoe at the poker table will "buy" you a drink using their card/

Not sure about poker rate rooms. Wifey's a slot player and usually gets comped.

Convenient it’s on bravo now.

Just have to figure out how/when to get out of all the family commitments for an evening.

Why aren’t tournament results at Del lago listed on Hendon mob? It’s nice to see they will finally be on bravo.

Think this room has a lot of potential. The cash games were really juicy the one time I played there. Just need to keep up with a good tournament schedule and I’ll be pleased. Maybe throw a 100k gtn in one time?

Wow, nice. Didn't the 50k they ran crush the guarantee? Would be pretty awesome if they continue to run bigger tournaments.

Not a great weekend as a lot of people from wny will be going to Cleveland. Parx going too. But will have to keep this place on my radar from now on.

I was all set to consider Cleveland on Saturday but this is easily a better option for me.

Would much rather go to del Lago but 500k prizepool vs 100kish prizepool kind of forces me to go to cleveland. Wish this was the following weekend.

No hotel costs combined with being able to go to Park Ave Fest Saturday if you make it through on Friday swings that pendulum the other way for me.

Bravo to Del Lago for continuing to nudge up the guarantees.

Do they hold this in the poker room? I would imagine they need more than 14 tables.

Just visited this room for the first time while visiting some family in Rochester.

Overall, I liked the big tables that were 9 handed. Lots of space. Chairs were comfy. Action was good and I liked the 100% max buy in. We had about 10k on our 1/3 table with a few stacks over 2k. As a 2/5 and 5/10 player I liked that aspect. Although with that said, no 2/5 game ran last night and I suspect the 100% max buy in rule is why.

The $6 rake is higher than a lot of places which sucks and I also didn't like that the promos ended at midnight during a weeknight especially with them pulling $2/hand for them.

The dealers were decent, but one in particular committed some major etiquette breaches (looking at folded cards who didn't say they could, reaching into a players stack pulling out 3 hundred dollar chips and "raising" for the player with 4 more players to act). The floor was useless in this and another incident that happened around 3 in the morning.

Despite this I enjoyed the room a lot and am really glad that a poker option exists this close to my inlaws. I'll be back for sure next time I'm in town.

I called the room yesterday. She said that they do hold it in the poker room and that they sometimes need to employ an alternate list so arrive early.

Is there a structure sheet anywhere for the 100k? They need to do a better job promoting the bigger guaranteed tournaments. A poker Twitter account would be a good start.

Called the room and the guy was pretty clueless... Hard to get excited about the tournament when there are no details or a structure sheet posted anywhere.

Yeah, nothing gets my juices flowing like a sexy structure sheet.

Friday starts at 2pm, does that mean it ends at 1am? I'd like to know before playing.

Unlimited reentry?
When does registration close?
When do antes start? That's when I want to register.

All things id like to know before deciding to play a tournament.

I am most likely going to Cleveland for mspt but was considering staying closer to home and playing this.

Yea the rake was increased from a max of $5 to a max of $6 as of a few weeks ago (to go with the $2 promo rake). They also made changes that they will never lower the rake below $4 max even if playing heads up or 3-4 handed (which makes it almost impossible to be profitable @ 1-3 unless you're against a belligerent drunk and can end it quickly, i guess)

Rumor is they are being pressured to justify the existence of the poker room, and show that it can be profitable but are struggling mightily. Also despite getting Bravo several months ago, Revenue has not changed much at all YOY (you can see all NYS casino's poker room revenue on the NYS gaming site)
