Overall casino looked nice... Walked around the floor for 15-20 min ... Clean, shiny... Still"new".... Tables were pretty full (floor games).

Only had about 2 hrs to sit but figured I would check the poker room out... Sat at 1-3, there were a few tables of it going along with some 2-5 and idk what else... First thing I thought was odd is the guy running the room was also selling me chips from the podium... Running fills for dealers... And everything else... Overall disorganized... And not suprising he just couldn't keep up...

When I sat there were the usual few stacks around 500-700 a few sitting south of 100 and a few in the middle... Talk about action! Money was flying in Every hand, ace rag was played with more value then you see online! I sat back and watched what seemed to be regs already here chatting about draws that were just too good to not play for large raises... With few outs etc etc... Watched 2 stacks in the 2 hrs I sat drop 700$+ just calling down hand after hand with ace high... Ace rag pair and other crap...personally I played very few hands... Walked out up 2x my $250 buy in... Honestly not wanting to leave because how soft it was...

I will be back due to the lack of skill... Not due to the impressive room... Turning stone is so far ahead... But hey easy $ is easy $!,
Who would have thought? 1/3 games are soft???

I still haven't paid a visit to del Lago even though it's closer to me than Seneca and Turning Stone. Has the poker experience gotten any better since they opened? How are the tournaments?

The more inexperienced dealers from when they opened have gotten a lot better and they have a solid core of good dealers. The cash games are amazing - great action pretty much every night, especially friday and saturday but a surprising amount on weekday nights as well.

The Thursday tournament ($120 buyin) has be doing really well - avg of 60-70 players. They have a Tuesday afternoon tourney and Sunday tourney as well for smaller buyins. I believe they get 30-40+ on Sunday. I prefer the Thursday one, slightly better structure and very soft field.

Bad beat jackpot is nearing $250k.

Bad beat is over 250k now - so if it hits everyone in the room wins either $250 or $500 (can't remember exactly)

They are giving away over $48,000 in promos this month - $100 hourly high hands M-F from 10am to 5am (yes 17 hours a day) and also every friday from 5pm to 8pm they are giving away $500/hr via a raffle where you earn tickets by getting a fullhouse or better to add to the drum. Your tickets accumulate during the entire month

I've heard they have gotten better and their tournaments are getting a bunch of runners due to some guarantees. I plan on going up again soon.

Was just there this past weekend.

I'd say games were pretty good but not crazy good.

Nice looking casino.

Just heard from an employee that Stan," the Beast from the East" is running the room, this is great news for poker at del Lago . A lot of top rate poker mgrs.in the area with Frankie not far up the road.

I have heard that as well. There were some changes (The El Dorado group purchased the Isle and made a large number of cost cutting changes which have had a poor effect on the room) at the Isle where Stan was and Stan moved on. I'm sure Stan's presence should have a positive effect on the room as del Lago.

When was this??? I know of Stan, but I was not aware he took it over. Probably why the games are changing there including the tourney buying.

Are they sill getting good turnouts for the tournaments?
I played there 5-6 times last April. The games were great.
Are they still good?
Do they still have match the stack?

They're still getting good turnout for the tourneys, especially Thursday pm.

The cash games open as a 100bb max buy in, but yes at any time one can match the largest stack at a table

Del lago is now the only room in NY that has PLO run regularly (runs almost non stop from Thursday to Sunday and can also be seen running other weekday nights but not as regularly). 1/2 blinds with $5 bring-in. $200 min buying with no max. Room allows you to run it twice as well for larger pots.

Was there Thursday night. I didn't play in the tourney, but they got 144 players for a 10K guarantee. 14K+ prize pool.

Thank you for the kind words.

PLO action is still good, since it was nicer out this week it didn't get going until Thursday, and went all day Friday and today.

I think with some of the big daily promos they have been running for hold'em hurts it on certain weeknights (mini bad-beat jackpots every Monday has been drawing a lot of players to hold'em until midnight)

I noticed there's a spot for 3-6 limit on the app. How well does that run during the week?

It's pretty much only runs on Wednesdays when they run their full house promo (first 20 or 30 full houses made get paid $100)

It's been a while since I have gone to Deliver Lago, how are the games running? I see on their online setup they are running tourneys now. How many runners these days?

I am thinking about coming out for the Monster Stack this weekend but I am concerned about the lack of detail on the structure. How long are the levels? What blind level is level 13 (end of Day 1)?

Really would be better to provide a structure sheet for tournaments than to get into silly details like "Players will bag their chips in a clear, sealed bag. The sealed bag will be given back to the player prior to the start of Day 2."
