I travel for business and I used to stay at Del Lago and play some poker. Guess I'll move it to Turning Stone when possible.

the games are beatable still due to how deep many of the tables play, i was a small winner before the rake increase - i plan to just tip much less to counter the rake. Not really fair to the dealers, but i'm going to be sticking to $1 tips per hand and not bump it up even if its a large pot coming my way..
The players know about the rake and generally grumble about it, but the general consensus about the rake is that it's better than not being able to play poker at all (for now.)
The bigger issue for the players is the lack of dealers (and even the poker room complains about this, so its apparently a directive coming from up high). Apparently the dealers are now all part-time, so I'm not 100% sure if the dealers are choosing to not come back or they just want to limit the number of dealers on the floor for some reason. But it sucks when the waiting list is 40 deep and there are at least a half dozen empty tables.
I'm not sure what Turning Stone's waiting list situation is like, but even if you are coming from Rochester (or at least from the west), if it's already 8 pm on Friday or Saturday, it might actually be faster to get a table at Turning Stone. But again, I'm not 100% sure of their waiting list situation either; I just know Del Lago's can be over an hour.
