The Daytona Beach Blizzard 50k got started tonight with i believe 226 entries. Played 13 levels Day 1A and Day 2(Saturday) will start at 10 a.m. Lots of different opinions on the expected total number of entries for Days 1B-1E,but i think its fair to say the prize pool will exceed 80k.

No rake reductions at Tampa Hard Rock or Derby Lane.

How was the overall structure? I know day 2 moves to 40 min levels but that's about it.

15K Chips plus 10K($20 Dealer add on). Stucture is good,72 made it to Day2 from 1A. Final table levels are 60 minutes. For $100 buyin,its great.

It is a tremendous structure for $100 buy in (plus $20 dealer add on). Best I've ever seen, by far.

I played last night. Had my stack up to 100k and wanted at least 80k going into Saturday. They were supposed to end last night at the 800-1600-200 level, then moving to 100-2000-300 on Saturday, so an 80k stack would have been 40 BB's on Saturday, and the 40 minute blind structure would have created opportunity for lots of post flop play.

But because of the size (I think it was more like 280 entrants), they went an extra level, the 1000-2000-300 level, and I managed to work myself into a situation where I had to try to make something happen to get a decent stack together.

Needless to say if I want to play Saturday, I'll have to enter again later this week.

Good structure but almost seems to much for a $100 buy in. From the website sounds like it will be atleast 3 days long. Dont see why they arent playing longer on Saturday. Thats alot of time to invest in a $100 tourney.

I'm not 100 percent on this, but it seems that they only get it running now on weekends, and its spotty at best. The regulars at it go over now to Tampa Hard Rock and play their 10-20 limit Omaha, I believe.

I received a counterfeit 100 from Daytona so maybe sure they mark all your bills and run them through the machibe

How was this resolved at THR?

THR took his name and information for a form that is provided to the Secret Service but other than that they did nothing and claimed that there was no way they could have been responsible.

not at all lately. Even then its PLO8. Havent seen in run in about 3 weeks. Someone said most of the regs are going to Tampa to play the LO8 game there.

hows the 5/10 nl games here? passive retirees or a younger more aggro crowd. I see they have 2 games going on a Thursday afternoon, seems pretty solid

A healthy mix. Each 5/10 table will definitely have some aggros.
